  • I'm back. Sorted. So we are going to pay an additional £300 a month for the next 3 years which is when our current deal ends. The CTC and CB will also end then so we will need to revise the whole budget . So not only are we reducing the holiday contribution we are reducing the EF and car fund payments as they are both looking very healthly at the moment . This is probably because we were preparing for possible reducancy and shoved any spare cash into these accounts. Our help to save accounts have matured so I've allocated us each amount to spend on what we would like, the rest is going to be divided up into the holiday and car funds. I've started writing down where our after bills etc money goes, our food shopping bill is always eye watering high. We've managed to make some major inroads into this by really utilising the allotment and y/s items.Although my granola making this week has ended in 2 major disasters. The first one was when I added my homemade vanilla essence which is housed in a maple syrup bottle, which is what I actually needed. Whole bottle went in and discovered my mistake when my vanilla pods slid out of the bottle. Decided it wouldn't be a good idea to put the mixture in the oven as the essence is made with vodka and wouldn't taste very nice. 2nd attempt -thought i'd turned off the oven and discovered very brown gronala an hour later, I'd turned the beetroot off instead :s. Lost half the batch as its too burnt to eat.
Spoke to DD1 this week, her and some friends were going to the local charity shops to see if they could get some board games, so if they are locked down in digs they will be able to entertain themselves. Although uni isn't what she expected she seems to be enjoying it and is adapting to how things are been run. Considering going to see her on Monday, but will see how DD2 is (waiting to see how she manages on new meds). Been a very stressful week with DD2 as she is very tired and stroppy but adapting to the new eating and exercise plan suggested by GP..Need to take her clothes shopping again (big sigh) as her clothes don't fit again.......... This is the 4th time this year, she has gone from a tiny size 6 to a size 10 possible 12. I suspect alot of this is horomone/medication related. Hopefully the new eating/exercise plan will work but in the meantime she has only 2 pairs of leggings and 2 tops that actually fit.!!!!!!!!!!!!  She is also coping with having to come to terms with her disability and is not happy that she has to have support to complete everyday tasks. She has had a major fallout with my mum even though my mum was doing what I'd asked. She ended up back here last night and gave my mum various things she had bought her (the red mist had descended). Although she has apologised today my mum has decided to keep everything till the end of the month and if she does it again it will all go to the charity shop. Which is a shame as one is the alexa and I love having it on full blast. Yesterday before the strop I was rocking out, doing housework to guns and roses, U2, the cure etc. Kids can't live with them, can't live with them.
No more Facebook sales, still revving myself up to look at using Ebay etc Looking forward to taking Miss Giddychops out later today, hoping it will clear my head. Arrrgh its raining and the washing is out on the line, I'm going to pretend its not happening in the hope it will pass.
    POSITIVES
    1) DD2 is adapting and more importantly is actually following the new eating and exercise paln.
    2) The hubbster's job is secure
    3) We are all well.
Take care everyone off to update myself on how some of you are doing

Glad the job news is positive even if not 100% doing what he signed up for.  Hope life with DD2 settles once she is used to her new regime - that transition coupled with hormones is not easy.  Hope you managed a walk and some fresh air x

Yesterday turned into a complete disaster but trying to tell myself it could of been worse. We got rained off at the alottment even though the rain wasn't supposed to arrive till the afternoon, so got very wet whilst trying to get DD2 wheelchair in the car whilst FIL wandered about as he kept forgetting stuff and had to wander back up to the plot (shoes :#,his head!!!!!!). I then went to collect DD2 and the hubbster meds from the pharmacy and ended up with someone who thought I was something on the bottom of her shoe. They wanted a phone number for the hubbster to ring him in a week to see if meds are working. I explained several times he works in the back of beyond and there is no phone signal, and is rarely in the office at the moment (although that will change once the team is back up and running in the next month). But she kept instisting I give her a number so gave her the house number, but added he's not in till late, but he wasn't stupid and if meds weren't working I'm sure he's intelligent enough to ring. She then walked off and I walked out and drove home muttering. I remembered once at home that the stupid women hadn't asked me to pay for them. I was very tempted not to go back after her attitude but a combination of being grateful for all the NHS does and an overactive imagination which invovled whirling blue lights, blaring sirens, the house been stormed by armed police and been led away in handcuffs. So I rang and explained what happened and paid for it over the phone and causually dropping into conversation that neither of the people who served had asked for payment and attitude. Karma bit me in the ar3e though as when I went to the petrol station I slipped over as I stepped off the stupid mat that they have on entering the door. Took me a good 5 minutes to get up off the floor, stupid women said 'ooooo the floor is really slippy due to the weather' as she kicked the mat into place when she thought I wasn't looking.Managed to pay and limped out the door and sort out the bloody cut on my hand. I drove home and went to bed for 3 hours, woke up very stiff and bruised. To make matters worse DD2 and I were up in the middle of the night stripping her bed and pjs and shoving them in the bath as the washing machine was whirrling away already. Totally writing yesterday off and trying to find a small positive from yesterday disaster......... ok I suppose it could of been worse, I could of ended up in A and E. Finding it very hard to motivate myself this morning, DD2 still asleep can't see us getting alot done today. I feel like I'm living in a soap opera and we play every character and whatever drama is happening is happening to us......mmmmm think I being a bit melodramatic, think I need a cup of tea.

Oh CR, not a good day. I'm not surprised you're not feeling motivated - look what happened when you were yesterday! Take care of you and DD2 - imagine the fall has taken more out of you than you realised.

Expect that the police might have told the pharmacy to ring you (after extracting a number from you!) to get their payment before they'd be inclined to come out - they've got enough to do at the moment.

On the mat/floor situation - did the woman not think that a wet floor sign might be appropriate if she was going to blame it on that?! Honestly.

Have a gentle day today - I hope it's better than yesterday. x
