Only data law - GDPR - in May 2018, as already advised. Not in 2015/2016.

All PPCs updated their signs for GDPR 6 months ago, some with stickers, some with new signs. No law has changed about private parking signs as there is no such law.

But in fact if you read other dozen or more PPS threads from the Autumn, you will find that the usual old PPS 'WARNING' sign was replaced in other sites anyway, in 2016. Probably the IPC found the terms (what terms?!) on the WARNING sign wanting and PPS had to change them to comply with their trade body audits during 2016. Nothing exciting has happened, they just updated their signs for the IPC.

Come back when you get a claim. Your case won't be forgotten so no assuming it's over, no throwing the papers away.

Only asking because there was no signage there in Sept 2016 but new signage has appeared in the last couple of months. My son has already had an LBC in Aug 2018. We sent a letter from the newbie's site and haven't heard from PPS since

Not necessarily.

In what context?

E.g. a Witness Statement isn't a Defence.

Some people talk about a Defence and others talk about a Defence Statement. The latter are often using incorrect terminology.
