Sorry to give you a headache. All I want is a simple life.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
big hugs to Joannasmum, and your DD, so sorry to hear your news xx :grouphug:0

Good morning everybody! :hello:
Great big squeezy hugs to joannasmum and cheerfulness :grouphug: Joannasmum - do be honest with DD. I remember our cat disappearing when I was about your DD's age (must be one of my earliest memories!) and my mum telling me that she had run away and probably gone to live with the farm cats. Years later I asked her whether the cat had just vanished or if she had been known to be killed - and was told that somebody had come to the door and owned up to running her over. Even at that very early age I would have respected my mum more if she'd told me the truth (after all, my granddad died not long afterwards, and my parents were straight with me on that one!)
I've been a bit busy lately (even more than usual!) which is why I haven't been around much (thanks to everybody who's messaged me on Facebook asking where I'd got to) - but today I have sensibly taken the day off work to recoup my reserves of energy. I am hoping to get to the Birmingham meet-up tomorrow (even though I can only be there for a few hours) but I'm only going if I've got the energy to get out of bed tomorrow morning OF MY OWN ACCORD :rotfl:
I'm off to the opera later - v. long show and 4pm start, which is one of the reasons I'm off work today (originally I was going to work till lunchtime).
Oh, by the way - was just watching "Homes Under the Hammer" on BBC1 and one of the renovation projects was a ground floor flat just round the corner from me. It looked like a really nice flat and I've always liked the look of the estate it was on, but the presenter and EAs were just going on about how well-located it is for Central London (which is true, it's on more bus routes than ANYWHERE else in London and only 10 minutes in off-peak traffic from Zone 1 tube stations) but I was just laughing cos all I could think was "A ground floor flat in Camberwell Green? Are you crazy, you'll get burgled on a weekly basis" :rotfl:
Hugs to all
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Good morning everyone,
Not read the thread today properly, so welcome any newbies, Congrats to anyone celebrating and ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or needs one xxx
Joannasmum - extra ((HUGS)) for you, hope DD will be ok xxx
Nothing much happening here today, have some paper soaking in teabags at the moment for DSs school project - WM has been on and now its all hanging outside, and after my cuppa im going to do some dusting.
Have 2 here today, and at the moment, the girls (extra plus DD) are playing with the baby, ive been lucky the last 2 weeks, with the older ones being off (2 weeks cos our half term is different to Plymouths, and i look after some Plymouth children) because they love to play with the LOs, next week im back on my own, so will have to do all the work on my own!!!!
Still no confirmation of my laptop win, but im still hopeful - did win a CSI dvd, no idea which comp cos it came in a jiffy bag with no comp slip, but im not complaining!! A win is a win, and i get so excited whether its a big or little one - my friends are still laughing at the tick remover that i won - but one day i will be laughing when they have ticks and no way of getting rid of them!!
Well, enough drivel from me - hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Our chickens......they are Murans crossed with Plymouth Rock or ROR. They are all quite friendly and have pleasant personalities. We bought them in Orpington Kent from a farmer who sells anything to do with chickens for £12 each (16weeks)and did a deal for £45 for the 4:eek:    ...still expensive but OH paid for it all from some money he was given. We have Nigella, Bessie, Sydney and Ginger.
We only buy free range eggs and at £2.89 for a dozen large from Tesco, these are totalling £12.00 per month, so for the next 4 months they would have hopefully paid for themselves.
Here are some pics of the chooks:DTo repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0 -

Joannasmum - How awful for you, I'm so sorry for you and your daughter. We adore our own little cat and know how you must feel.
Thanks so much to all those that sent hugs to me today. I feel tons better.DS1 was given the treat of driving himself to work today with his L plates up as his dad was with him, so that really cheered him up. The lovely women in the office that work with him (all in 30's and 40's with teenagers themselves), have been marvellous to him and he's being fed Roses chocs at regular intervals. Even one of the tutors has had a word and admitted he's leaving the college because he has had enough of the abuse, so he shouldn't feel bad about leaving himself. Whether he gets the job with his dad or not, we'll help him sort a new job where he'll be happy.
I just wanted to say thank you to Taplady for a lovely pm. I really appreciated that.
Well, off to do some cleaning up ready to go away Monday. FIL and wife coming to look after the cat so don't want any fluff bunnies showing me up. :rolleyes:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Just popped on to say that I received my first Tesco online shop and was very impressed. The driver saw my crutches and said "sit down, I will bring everything in and put it in the kitchen for you" bless him. Was a bit concerned about the 1 item per carrier though. Will ask for no bags next time.
Overall a happy Smashing Blouse :T0
