Morning. I have a few days off and so am happy relaxing, drinking coffee. I see Miss Penelope is busy finding pictures to post of ME on the site today.

I have some friends over for tea tonight and so am thinking about what to do. The starter will be spiced parsnip soup. The desert rose wine jelly, with custard. The main course??????? I am thinking of something from Southern USA, most of which has about a pound of sugar in it. Even the veggies.... Have not decided yet..

Well folks it's good to have the site running again... Long may it continue.

Hugs to Mrs Flittersnoop, it is really difficult to lose a friend. Also hugs to mioliere's mum :grouphug: my cat is 16 and I have noticed she is getting really thin, just hope I can be brave when the time comes

Well, I sorted out our bedroom and it is lovely and tidy with its new fancy bedding, and I was feeling really happy about finally getting somewhere with the decluttering.

Then I got a phone call from DS, his house has finally gone through after almost 7 months, and he had to move out yesterday - anyway, my hallway is now full of boxes and pictures :eek: Oh well, it will go, eventually.

Plans for today, mega clean up, i have had a letter from council saying they are coming next week to start designing my new kitchen, so need to make sure its sparkly and clean as they will be inspecting all cupboards inside ond out!!!!
Dh is having alot of flack at work since handing his notice in, but hes holding his head up and counting down to final day next thursday.
Had ds3 teacher come out to me last night about his beheviour!!!!!! Hes in big trouble the little sod!! I dont think he will dare misbeheve today after the grief me and dh gave him last night, we have set him targets to acheive with rewards promise if he does and threated to stop all football activitys and other treats if anything else happens.Watch this space because im not holding my breath, hes such a proper little lad and cheeky with it just hopes this tactic works with him!!

Right off to get the loveable 4 up!!! Or shall i have one more coffee??? LOL

Not sure what is for tea, will look in the freezer in a moment, we had a sainsbugs delivery, and got a bag of shopping we did not order, and did not pay for it included

So a bit of a bonus for us, but I suppose someone else is missing it, I am not sure if I should be feeling guilty, but Im not

Morning everyone,

DH has suprised me by saying that he's broken up early for our holiday, so no work today. Really glad he's home today. Was a bit edgy last night because DS1 has been saying for a while that he can't take his job much longer as he's very unhappy there. He gets grief from the students in the college he works at. He has tried so hard to continue with it but I've watched them make fun of his suit (has to wear it for work) and throw things at him and swear at him as he walks around the campus - little swines. :mad:
Anyway he wanted to know if his dad could find him a job where he works. DH was shocked but seems to think there would be no problem. So torn because DS1 was doing so well within the job, getting more responsiblity etc but if he's so unhappy...??? DH works in skilled labour and if we didn't have so many debts would give us a good wage, so ultimately it could be a solid job for DS1 when he is fully qualified.
I guess I feel bad that I pushed him towards office work thinking it was best and realise that the poor lad just isn't suited and is miserable. I should have seen have unhappy he was. Felt awful to see my grown son breakdown and cry. I feel so guilty because I was always worried about losing his keep too because we couldn't manage without it while sorting debts. He's such a good kid.
Goodness I'm not living up to my name. He'll be down in a minute and I dont' want him to see me upset so I'm going to wipe my face and make a cuppa.
Sorry for ramble but needed to get it out.

Morning All

Feeling fed up this morning no real reason just pmt. Hopefully my mood will improve over the weekend but think will lock myself in the office a lot so stay out of peoples way.

Today - loads to do. Need to pop to post office to get car/van tax as didnt yesterday. OH had to go docs so had to miss golf. He still has the problem but the pain killers have kicked in now so he will be doing the school run this morning. Also need to phone the company whose DD's bounced from the bank- it took the bank till 4pm to get back to me!

Loads of other work today as I need to do the end of month, its one of those jobs that either goes right straight away or takes hours to sort.

Out for a chinese tonight as its a sort of friends birthday. Quite a few of us are going including a couple of people I really dont like. Not looking forward to it but hopefully it will be ok.

Long time since I last posted but I have been keeping up with everyone's goings on:D

So (((((((hugs))))) all round I think is the order of the day.
Scuzz- I am doing a firewalk in the next few weeks, so any advice would be
most gratefully received.

Right as far as OS has been concerned have really gone to pot... been making money on ebay and quidco instead but can really see that the house has suffered:D
So as I have a 3 day weekend starting tonight I plan to get me a@*& in gear and get flying.
Have no food left in the fridge, am trying to do a grocery challenge but can't seem to keep anyway from Mr T's express ( have conned myself into thinking that by going there instead of doing a BIG shop I am saving money!!), so need to have a look for some single girl meal plans and shopping list.

Right one more cup of tea and then off to the gym

Morning all - just making myself late browsing haribo's hall of fame .... funny thing is you all look exactly how I'd imagined

last day in ocurt at w*rk for a bit thank goodness - it's been a week of late starts and finshes and dodgy geezers. I am considering going back to work full time as I think i will be 150 pm better off all things taken into account. I have been playing around with the figures on entitledto.com and will get 11yo dd maths genius to check my calculations before deciding. soooo nice not working monday but i need the money
