good on him/her ... selfish greedy boasting idiots like the earlier poster deserve it ... its still their fault !!
I can only agree with everyone else, I am on a very low income, and was just thinking what a great present for my son, now I can't thanks for being sooooo greedy and spoiling it for the rest of us! Cheers:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I'm not sure why you're quoting me? And anyway, that person later conveniently mentioned it was a joke.I can only agree with everyone else, I am on a very low income, and was just thinking what a great present for my son, now I can't thanks for being sooooo greedy and spoiling it for the rest of us! Originaly from ScratUK:
So ScratUK told Virgin about this, but someone else is to blame for ruining it for everyone?? I think not.Further to my earlier post.
I've flagged the pricing error up internally - I work for the Virgin Group.
You'll have to make your drink money some other way.
Now everyone can thank you for ruining their bargain find.
BTW - it was me who said I'd ordered 50, because it's a guaranteed way to keep a thread going as thousands of people move from "feeling quite good about a potential bargain" to "unbelievably angry at the total injustice of it all" mode within about 3 seconds.
I got the £5 email, although I don't actually have the voucher yet.
I would be interested to see a copy of the dispatch note from those people who claim they were sent one of the DVDs, because I bet there are very few if any of these. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Please don't waste their time with this. Trading Standards are there to protect consumers from genuine crooks and dodgy dealers.
They're not there to help sharp consumers take advantage of genuine mistakes by retailers. Can I help?0

A genuine mistake I think not!!! Genuine mistakes do not take the money, process the order and then refund it at the last minute!!! I will be taking this further as I am very unhappy with what they have done!!! If it was a mistake they should have admitted it and not taken the money!!!!!!!0

that can still be a genuine mistake ... and they're giving you a fiver for nothing!loopylass81 wrote: »A genuine mistake I think not!!! Genuine mistakes do not take the money, process the order and then refund it at the last minute!!!
Complaining to the retailer is certainly worth it, but going to trading standards, watchdog etc is just madness and a waste of time (not to mention taxpayers/licence fee money if they were stupid enough to investigate). What next ... Brussels, .. Amnesty International? :rotfl:
You win some you lose some, this is a "Grabbit while you can" forum misprice thread; no wonder most other bargain forums think MSE posters are a bunch of weirdos! :rolleyes:0

We see this time and time and time again. Retailer makes a genuine mistake, tens of thousands of posters jump in to order the item, it takes the retailer a long time to process all the cancellations, everyone starts getting really angry and demanding their consumer rights, threatens to sue, go to small claims court, badger the hell out of their local Trading Standards officer.
Net result - lots of angry people who are NEVER going to get what was a genuine mistake.
Just accept it and move on - you're missing so many other offers while you waste time arguing with Virgin and TS over £30.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

I can understand it is a genuine mistake however they have had my money for over 2 weeks and I got no explanation until I sent an email to ask..
Why would I want to spend £5 at an online store that doesnt give a damn about their customer service!!!
Furthermore we have yet to actually see this said £5 voucher and my guessing is that it will be if you spend over a certain amount!!!0
