A misprice is fine if they stop the transaction at the point of sale - i would not take up arms at that point and would accept it happily - as i did with play.com and The Pink Panther films a few months ago
However Virgin took the money and accepted the sale legally - when i talked to trading standards before about play they said its a binding contract at that point - so they simply can't just refund and run - even if their T and Cs allow it - unless there is some loophole wghere they act as a middleman for other companies that i am not aware of - i will call TS on Monday as I said and get a further low down

    Mr. Ebay by any chance?
Mmmm. I have noticed quite a few of these for sale on Ebay.
  • My money was taken & then refunded 2 days later - I haven't even had an email to say my order has been cancelled, I only found out when I checked my online order status on the website!

I just got an e-mail explaining that it was a pricing error blah, blah, blah and that they will forward me a £5 goodwill voucher shortly for the inconvenience.

Don't know if I got this because I e-mailed them or if it is one they are sending to all who ordered it.

Got the same email. It appears that between the lines they are claiming that they have not fulfilled this order with anyone. Some here have reported getting the DVDs sent. Would any of them be willing to upload a copy of the delivery slip etc so I can go back to Virgin with the proof?
  • Ive had the same email.. Dp is phoning trading standards on monday..

I got one as well, looks like it is a generic email sent to all customers that ordered this item.
