I've still had no reply to the email I sent last Thursday, but have now received the welcome email outlining the next steps.

I’m on green turtle pricing plan and get an email each month to give reads, I add them and get a bill with 20mins!

Well done Yorkshire, the big six could learn a thing or two from u!

Hmm. I signed up with Yorkshire Energy for electricity only on Weds 24th April. I expected a welcome email at the very least.

You should get Welcome email very quickly and response to an email within 48 hours. Check your spam trap?
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
  • Hi I previously posted in February and want to say that I have absolutely no problems with the company. Billing email reminders come twice one about 5 days out and one one or two days before and also the bill is posted impressively quickly online after the read date within 48 hours. That side seems automated and as I said before telephone calls are courteously dealt with although I've had no need to call them recently.
Recently they have changed the layout of bills to make them much easier/more legible to read but I admit that the balance figure should have the letter Cr or Dr beside it to indicate in debit or credit. Then bills would be very clear.
    (That's a recommendation to YE)
Also surprised that MSE has not yet shown a rating for the company as after almost a year I thought they would have.

I have been with Yorkshire Energy since last September (one of the fortunate ones that moved away from Together Energy without too much hassle).

It has been a totally uneventful period (which is a good thing) in that they request meter readings each month, readings are supplied, bills produced within hours (and always accurate as I keep my own spreadsheet going so can compare) and, on the one occasion they had to use an estimated reading as I was away, they sent a revised bill the following month for that previous month using the actuals I had supplied a couple of days late, along with the bill for the current month.

So very pleased so far and would recommend.

The only (minor) cons so far are 1) can't change the DD bank details online 2) they are not currently part of the Santander 123 cashback scheme (although when I sent on online enquiry about this I got a very prompt response and they say it is something they are looking into).

Hopefully they'll have some good deals when my one year fix ends at end of August as I would happily stay (but only so long as the price is right..this is MSE :D).

Thanks. Just doubling checking but is that definitely Yorkshire Energy and not Yorkshire Electric, as when I did a search on the Santander "where can I earn cash-back" page, I only got Yorkshire Electric coming up?

If they are paying out on Yorkshire Energy then that's great and I'll need to move the DD across ( and find another for the Lloyds account....)
