Wow what a shame . These responses dont help and I am seeking advice but its like a Troll frenzy telling me I should have done this or that. I followed the process to the letter. The RAC used a celebrity to sell their product with any agreement from that celebrity....... so much for consumer rights on money saving expert ......0

Question. Is this a business to Business transaction?
If Yes, due diligence
If no, go back to the trader who sold you the car.0 -

It just so happens this vehicle is supposed to have tamer proof windscreen to stop this and in this case the winscreen was removed and a high quality replacement VIN that not even the dealership could identify as a fake was attached . The rules regarding vins are that they must be indelible and tamperproof. So windscreen VINs fail under the construction and use regulations.Anonfromuk wrote: »Did I say I used the Car check JUST because of Quentins endorsement ?????? It had lifted an article and image as you will see from my post of Quetins comments to me. Did anyone JUST buy bitcoins because Martin Lewis had been put on the webpage ??
The fact that the vehicle check says it checks if the vehicle is a clone.... A clone is a car with false identity..... it says it checks that the car isnt a clone...... The agent on the phone told me it checks if the car is a clone and if it was I could claim on the guarantee ..... I did everything the car check told me to doAnonfromuk wrote: »I purchased an RAC Car Passort HPI Stolen Vehicle and what appeared a clone check online. The RAC webpage had a photo of the TV celebrity Quentin Willson and what looked like his endorsement of the product. The vehicle subsequently turned out to be a stolen clone and I lost £17k. I contacted Quentin Willson and he said he does not and never has endorsed the RAC Car Passport. He contacted the RAC and had his photo and apparent endorsement removed. The RAC have told me on Twitter that Quentin did endorse the product but the RAC Customer Care have told me it was not an endorsement by him and they are sorry if I thought it was. To me this looks like a large company like the RAC using a celebrity to sell a product, similar to what has happened to Martin Lewis. I have been told by WHICH that this appears to be a breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 which is a criminal offence. Any advice would be useful0 -

People aren't trolling you. We are trying to get to the bottom of what's going on. You seem fixated on some celebrity endorsement that appears to be wholly irrelevant to the situation at hand.
Blackbeards point is actually very, very important. Was this a business to business transaction?0 -

It appears RAC Passport may be B2B and B2C
https://vehicle-history-check.rac.co.uk/terms-conditionsIn order to make a successful claim under the Data Guarantee, the following conditions must be met:
You must be acting as a consumer, and not acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, or on behalf of another person.0 -

Its not a business to business transaction and I sort of understand that questions reasoning in respect of contracts online.
There are several issues around this case but I had just been asking specifically about the unauthorized use of a celebrity to promote and sell a product online. I have now posted the image of the webpage with the celebrity. T&C's just by Quentins image were not available. Who thinks its an endorsement ???
I have also posted the VIN check section. Who thinks it says it checks if the car has been cloned ???0 -
Is it a personal endorsement or a quotation from the Newspaper article that would only require the permission of the the newspaper who hold the copy write?
You will have to find the article and check the wording0
