I have made sterling progress going through a heap; while filing/shredding I also cleared two pockets of the filing cabinet...I don't need TV licences going back 10 year nor do I need council tax bills and various other utility-related paperwork. Shredder emptied three times; this will be taken with the recycling tomorrow. I also shredded the pages of two old diaries...more to do but the pile is diminishing.
I have also S&S in the kitchen. And all the ironing is done...and the wash basket not too full, though I need to clean bathroom and therefore wash towels.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi all
So yesterday went like: out at 6.50am to go to gym, in work by 8.30 - worked until 4.30. Home to find DS1 making curry for eveyone, DH came in grumpy because he didnt want curry. Ate curry, took DS2 to footie training (40 minutes), came home and quickly got changed then straight out to meet friends at cinema. Home at 10.30pm, straight to bed.
So not much time for flying. Need to get ready for the paid stuff now. Got to take DS2s old car to the garage for MOT so we can sell it (hate driving it), then on with the day. Have a good Thursday everyone x0 -

Am off to get my locks lopped shortly. Will do bathroom.
Also need to "pop" into work to print out, sign and scan some paperwork for the trip I have booked for Y3 & y4 (because it's on my email) and I don't have any ink in my printer. I am halfway there when at the hairdressers.
Fingers crossed as DD has an interview.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Jojo thank you for taking the trouble to write such a useful and detailed post.
HB thank you, also. No, neither Mr LW or myself are group-joiners. I did join an online lupus support group once, but it was basically a my-symptoms-are-worse-than-your-symptoms competition; and truly, I never felt welcome, so I gave that up after a very short time.
I'm glad Kelpie's getting something for his eyes, btw; he has my sympathy, I have to use eye drops every day too.
Mr LW took his copy of the consultant's letter to the surgery yesterday; they now say that a) Dr I was on holiday last week and b) he hasn't had the consultant's letter (ie someone's filed it away while he was on holiday methinks). However, they photocopied Mr LW's copy of it, and have promised a prescription will now be forthcoming. They will call him when it's ready.
He's got an appointment with Dr I regarding his now-two-years-old persistent cough on 21st August (first appointment available) at which he will tell him Montelukast did nothing to help. * sigh*
Then he's got a meds review appt with Dr F on 24th August. Trying to see same GP each time is impossible.
I'm due a meds review myself in a couple of months (so I'd better look at booking an appt I guess) and will say then that my symptoms have flared, including worse-than-usual sleep, almost certainly due to stress. I also need to get it put on my notes that I am now Mr LW's Carer, along with him being mine.
Flying-wise; I've washed a dress that has to be done by itself (runs better than Usain Bolt) and that's hanging on the whirligig in the sunshine. Fed and walked doggies, of course. We me a "Wowser" on our walk; cross between a Westie and a Schauzer.
Mr LW has vanished somewhere; hopefully he's either dusting the bedroom or putting away his clean clothes out of the airing cupboard. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
