Morning everyone,
I made an earlyish start to the allotment before the sun got onto it. I now need to sort out the goodies that I've brought back. I hope the farmers do better with their potato crop than I've done, although to be fair I haven't watered mine.
I've just had a restorative cup of tea, and have an ironing pile sulking in the corner. I guess I had better tackle it before the sun gets round this side of the house. Or I might just go and sit out in the shade, as DH isn't here and DD is still in bed. Blissful peace!
Have a lovely day all.0 -
Wow, it's hot today. Dailies are done, no dog walk and gardening was Stopped at 10.30 due to heat, although I did get a lot of weeding done.
Been sitting in the shade since listening to music which is what I'll continue doing for rest of day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
OH went to the garden centre and then potted various things up to replace the plants that have snuffed it because he didn't water them.
I've filled in more holes in the wall and painted edges. They'll need another two coats but I'm chuffed with the way the yard's come on. I may be moved to whack another coat on tonight so that I can finish it off first thing tomorrow morning. The Ben-the-Builder can do his thing on Tuesday.
WM x 3 all pegged out and drying in the heat.
One of the lodgers went today. She's Indonesian by birth, born in Venezula, Dutch by nationality, lives in Belguim and is tri-lingual. I'm going to miss these bright sparks when we're out. She left enough bread behind for us to have soldiers with our boiled eggs - just as well, I forgot to make any - and a B3n and J3rry's tub of cookie dough ice cream. I'd always wondered what it tastes like, so now I know.
Lots of Bay of E stuff ending tonight, at least three of which will sell. Good.Better is good enough.0 -
