Do you use Halifax online banking ? You can text them via this method or Tweet them.
Halifax don't let you secure e-message them. Tweeting is indeed an option though.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »This thread has to be a wind -up surely!
I'm honestly not so sure. But either way it's unproductive as OP has refused to take on board anything that has been said about their (dismal) prospects of success and only seems to want to listen to anyone who says nice things. However, at least the answers are here for anyone else who has a similar idea in the future.urs sinserly,

OP - the only thing you've missed out of your post is that Halifax are not obliged to offer you the product you apply for. You may have been declined a 'Student account'. It's not an automatic right to have a different type of account just because you bank with them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. I keep being drawn back to this thread just because of how surreal it is.
If the OP was not aware of his diagnosis, how on earth were the bank expected to be aware of it, let alone offer more suitable products with the benefit of that knowledge? The OP may indeed have been financially disadvantaged but this was due to factors entirely outside of the bank's knowledge or control.
Still, I'd love to hear all about OP's resounding success which should be due any day now, although I have a suspicion that he's going to be very quiet from this point onward.: )0 -

Never mind, he's gone to talk to Monzo now, who are telling him what he wants to hear - something which, in all fairness, they probably wouldn't be doing were they the ones in Halifax's position.
Possibly the most entertaining bit is the idea that he can just keep complaining about the same issue just with different grounds until he gets the answer he wants. This is one of many aspects of this where reality is much different from what he thinks it is.urs sinserly,

Nice wee surprise when I logged in today:

Assume that's the full amount (hard to tally because they charge per day)
No word from Halifax yet, still waiting on snail mail. Will keep pushing until they agree to implement an accessible way for their customers to contact them as per required by the equality act.
Didn't get much use from this thread in terms of resources, more just me repeatedly trying to explain the differences between neurotypical levels of difficulty completing a task and ADHD levels. If anything it helped me structure my complaint to Halifax more coherently so thanks for that!Capital One - 950/1400

I work with people who have profound mental and physical difficulties and see how hard they work to be taken seriously in the world. Then I see nonsense like this. Shameful and pathetic.0

Yet with the same comment you disregard mental difficulties caused by ADHD. Shameful
Here's a recent study finding ADHD has the most negative impact on student progress out of 253 factors.

Pleased for you; that's an unusually good outcome as I say, and I'm not sure on what basis they've done so (probably a gesture of goodwill), but fair play if they've backed down.Didn't get much use from this thread in terms of resources, more just me repeatedly trying to explain the differences between neurotypical levels of difficulty completing a task and ADHD levels. So actually what you got out of this thread was far more important than any 'resources' you may have been pointed towards. You're welcome!
A coherent complaint makes sure it doesn't end up straight in the bin.0
