Well, happy for you that you got the result you wanted. As above, not sure on exactly what grounds they're awarding the payment.

Less desirable is the fact that this has no doubt reinforced your already formidable victim complex and sense of entitlement. Please don't expect all companies to roll over and give you preferential treatment as Halifax have.
    : )
  • It seems on this occasion Halifax found and broke out the tiny violin for you.

Well done for playing the victim card/compo face.

Banks have an anticipatory duty to consider how disabled individuals are going to access their services. Not providing a digital means of contact when it would be incredibly easy for them to do so is grounds for violation. Hence, the funds were collected due to a violation of the equality act.

I'll be really surprised if the response to your complaint doesn't include the words "gesture of goodwill" and as such I doubt they'll actually ever agree with any of the above. Principally because your reasoning is, bluntly, b*llocks.

I wonder if they will follow it up with a letter stating that the banking relationship has broken down and giving OP x days to find a new bank?

Nice wee surprise when I logged in today:

Assume that's the full amount (hard to tally because they charge per day)

No word from Halifax yet, still waiting on snail mail. Will keep pushing until they agree to implement an accessible way for their customers to contact them as per required by the equality act.

Didn't get much use from this thread in terms of resources, more just me repeatedly trying to explain the differences between neurotypical levels of difficulty completing a task and ADHD levels. If anything it helped me structure my complaint to Halifax more coherently so thanks for that!

have you photoshopped that in any way?
