I love how remain guys keep getting it so wrong.
    ;)

You obviously don't know that the busiest cargo port in the UK isn't Dover. It's Immingham.
Here's a handy report which should help you to understand that other UK ports are already busier than Dover which in fact isn't even in the UK top 7 busiest cargo ports.

Never mind though, you carry on trying to belittle Brexiters oblivious to the fact that actions like yours are what led to the UK voting for Brexit. You're doing a great job of ensuring that enough will continue to demand that we leave.

That was a news article about Dominic Raab, who at the time was Secretary of State for Brexit, saying he didn't understand the importance of Dover. How you think that's a win for your argument I am not sure. But I appreciate you lot have so few that any straw will do...

How point is that Raab, the Secretary for Brexit, who we should assume is an expert in all things brexit, has admitted to not understanding channel shipping. Something I'd assumed would have been critical for anyone dealing with brexit.

No-one is debating the relative importance of any ports, or what their capacity is, just that the prime expert on the subject barely has a layman's understanding. He needs to be held to higher standards than my gran, or we're completely stuffed.
  • Yay.

Even arch-brexiteer Dr. Fox is changing his tune.
No more 'will of the people' or 'we voted in 2016' or such nonsense, but:

    It's curtains for brexit. :T

That is not me that is Ace Brexiteer, Dom Raab :)
“We are and, I hadn’t quite understood the full extent of this, but if you look at the UK and you look at how we trade in goods, we’re particularly reliant on the Dover-Calais crossing.”

I see his latest outpouring on the fantastic increase in average pay is getting a lashing on Twitter. He put up a graph showing that average pay stalled in June 2016 , it even shows average wages lower 2010 when Labour lost power.:)
ONS data showing real wages rising at fastest rate in 10 years ... is good news for working Britain.

You're trying to make something out of nothing and - worse - It's been done to death ages ago.
Nobody was interested then & they're not now, unless of course you're a remainer flailing to make some obscure point.

Dominic Raab is a politician who read law at uni., he's not a specialist on ports. As Brexit Secretary he will have been informed of such things and all he's doing is saying that he had been educated.

Now if only remainers too could admit when they have been educated in areas where they previously had little knowledge . . . .

Yes, dig dig dig and sneer sneer sneer. You yourself make it patently obvious that not everybody understands everything, the difference being that most of us do not purposely resort to sneering jibes at those. There must be a lot of hatred combined with very little knowledgeable and relevant response to have to resort to such a constant stream of sneering jibes.

Maybe that's why you completely missed the point, namely that Dover is not actually as all-important as some would believe so in fact it looks like it is you clutching at straws. Now let's see an intelligent debate in response without sneering if that is possible?

Your post was literally a sneering dig at another post. If you're going to make sneering digs at other people's posts at least make sure you understand what they've said before you make yourself look silly. I appreciate the fantasy land of Brexit, where everyone who disagrees is wrong all the time, has it's appeal - but back in the real world other people use facts, and even judge people on their willingness to use them.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people just cannot read.
"UK pay growth rises to 3.1%, the highest in almost a decade"
Now just in case that's not big enough, it says "pay growth rises".
NOT "the average wage is higher than .. ".
If some folk can't understand the difference that explains a lot although frankly such people would be better keeping quiet instead of looking ill-educated.
So much for remainers being better-educated than Brexiters.
    :rotfl:

I'm not Raab's greatest fan but when others resort deliberately to deceit I will call you out for it.

The point was he put up a graph to back up his case and it wasn't very flattering :)
