Spending on infrastructure in Germany and Italy is lower than the UK. Sorry if that's inconvenient for you.
Just as important is maintenance spending,
I see no potholes in German roads.
Perhaps you could share where you got this information from as 5 people thanked you for your post with no supporting evidence and no knowledge of using the infrastructure in either country. Very sad. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
I do not understand posters who prefer to TRY and point out that things are worse elsewhere rather that excepting, for example, that more money needs spending on infrastructure in Britain.
Do they not except that Maintanenence spending and capital spending has not kept up with needs in Schools and Education, transport, NHS, Prisons and Border control.
Is it exeptable to say that the roads are worse in XYZ country. does that improve the roads in Britain. Of course not. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

You know how to use google presumably?

Apology accepted.
PS Have you ever travelled on German trains? For your information I visit Germany frequently and do have some knowledge of using its infrastructure.0 -

What you obviously don't understand is that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. There are several posters on here who rejoice in saying how bad things are in the UK without acknowledging that things are no better elsewhere. Pointing that out shouldn't be a problem although it seems to be one for yourself.0 -
They have also been buying up lots of new build apartments in London. This was in 2015/2016 and I assume has excelerated with a weaker pound.
They are also buying lots of high end apartments in Athens thanks to the Greek government giving residence permits to foreigners buying property for more than €250,000.0 -

Sorry cogito, I appreciate that you didn't ask me that question.
I think developed countries, unless they are in great strife like Greece, will all do some things very well and others less so. Sweden for example, great public infrastructure, but also high taxes alongside a growing right wing down in large part to the growth in immigration. Spain, great health system, rated v highly in international comparisons, but struggling with political corruption and regional independence movements.
There's good and bad everywhere. That includes the UK and every country in the EU, even Luxembourg. The UK is a fantastic country and shouldn't be written off so easily by those who live here, even if polite complaining is something of a national trait. Equally both sides are so entrenched, at some point we will have to coalesce around a common future and move forward. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Thanking of posts appears to be based on a point scoring basis for team Brexit or team Remain. Personally I prefer to thank a post when I find it useful even if its against my own argument.0 -

I'm guessing it's more that the passport gets you access to the rest of the EU too, not just Ireland.0 -
