Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

You do not have to be a racist to believe in Brexit but it does mean that you have to think less about the benefits and consequences if you have such views.
Your question is very valid, however. The most difficult issue for Brexit was always going to be the border. But those who now dismiss it as easily solved by simply ignoring the problem are guilty of rank hypocrisy when so many of the Brexit supporters spent months telling us that we needed to take back control of our borders
You really haven't been following the various stories about the Irish border and the multiple differences between that over-hyped problem and others like UK and/or EU borders at all, have you?
Or is it just that it's an ideal excuse to express how disagreeable it is possible to appear?0 -
You believe that all leavers are horrible people. What do you think that says about you?
I don't think all leavers are horrible people. I think abusive narrow minded bigots sounding off endlessly on rightwing media about how foreigners are the cause of all their problems are horrible people.
I'm sure it's just a completely unrelated coincidence that all of them bloody love Brexit.
I am also sure that there is a measured and coherent economic and social reason to justify Brexit that has nothing to do with xenophobia. It's just in 6 entire threads on this forum and two years of foaming, none of you has managed to come up with a single one.0 -
Shame your Brexiteer attention span didn't manage to read until the end of the article before you shared it.
It's much easier on the Express comments isn't it? Where you all may as well be the same (horrible) person...
It's very easy to see who the "horrible people" are from the tone of their posts.
Shame your remainer attention span doesn't consider more often that such attitudes didn't work before the referendum and are [STRIKE]quite possibly[/STRIKE] probably responsible for Brexit.0 -

What you mean of course is that you have ignored every single one.0 -
In case anyone isn't clear on JRMs motivations at this point: https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/jacob-rees-mogg-line-huge-personal-windfall-britain-exits-single-market/07/02/0

A presumption for which you have no evidence, followed by a question that makes no sense.
Are you suggesting that the UK/EU land border is not a problem?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

What then do you call remainers, most of whom appear to be on the left, who refer to leavers as thick ignorant racist bigots?
And if you haven't noticed the reasons why people voted to leave, you simply haven't been paying attention.0 -

17m people on either side of the argument are clearly not thick or racists. But some are. What sometimes concerns people is that good arguments on either side can be obscured by those who think that the problems we have now or in the future are going to be solved by holding such views.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment.
