Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

Over the past few years I've hired holiday cars in USA and Australia and driven through Bosnia-Herzegovina and never had the need for an international drivers licence. My UK one was happily accepted in all these non-EU countries. Does the EU really plan to look like a banana republic by demanding separate international drivers licences from us?
As you know too well it will all be about insurance and rental companys.
The EU will not care nor will you unless you have an accident. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Not been ignored at all. It's just been pointed out that there are a huge number of UK registered vehicles on British roads which are unsafe, uninsured and driven by unlicensed people who often ignore legal driving requirements.
It's not xenophobic to point out facts; it's xenophobic to assign those facts to foreigners whilst ignoring similar problems for people of your nationality.
You have APNR in the UK which detects untaxed, untested and uninsured vehicles and if applied correctly can take these vehicles off the road. Unfortunately it doesn't work for non-UK registered vehicles which can come and go with impunity and without checks if they are registered elsewhere in the EU.
If bugslet is reading this, I am certain that she will confirm this. The insurance companies who have to pick up the bills certainly can.0 -

The EU was yes slowly working towards total cooperation between country’s over registration numbers of vehicles and laws, including speeding, being traced back to the driver involved. Britain has been slow to adopt this but it is now dead in the water for Britain out of the EU. Another benefit of Brexit.
It is called the Cross Border Enforcement Directive CBED

No wonder British drivers might get extra scrutiny after Brexit when the are driving in the EU27There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
How the swagger and the pomposity of the brexiteers has changed since the first part of this thread.
They puffed their chests and proclaimed a brave new world back then, now they mither and squawk about whether they’ll even be able to drive their diesel estates in France next year.0 -

The ones who are mithering and squawking are the diehard remainers who refuse to accept the result of a democratic vote. I see that Gina Miller is at it again. I wonder if Soros is still funding her.0 -

I had to google in what way Ms. Miller is 'at it again' and it looks like she launched a website, 'End the Chaos'.
