    Missing post here includes:

Bank statement and credit card bill from end September.
New debit card (now cancelled) posted on 10 October.
1st class recorded Ebay packet posted on 20 October.

And there must be other stuff, as we have had no extra post on a day to day basis.

Just as things are getting back to normal, the local newspaper in Stoke has reported that one sorting office are being ballotted on strike action, and a possibility that it coulf spread across the West Midlands.

unfortunatly regardless of that news story the current dispute is still in place.
the union is yet to ballot its members on accepting the new offer agreed by the union/RM
theres a lot of issues going on in some offices/mail centres coupled with some of the more historically militant sectors i couldnt say how that vote will go

The issue in Stoke On Trent relates to the Burslem office, not the Normacot 1.

12 staff have been suspended and they have been asking for members of the public to sign their petition (not very successfully I would imagine as no one knows the real details)

They have been striking at the Burslem office on top of the national ones and it's been going on for ages. There have been a lot of disruptions due to that.

Thats issue is in regard to gross misconduct issues and whilst it may be proved untrue, a lot of companies would immediately suspend employees for that whilst they investigated it. I know it's in my companies handbook to suspend with or without pay if you could not remain at the company due to a conflict.

I've received things sent to me within a couple of days recently as a buyer. As a seller I have one poor buyer very patiently waiting for something I sent on 22nd October. He really wants the item and I'm really hoping it turns up within the 3 weeks (next Monday) otherwise I will have to refund him as although he's been great I can't expect him to wait ad infinitum.

The stupid post office near him told him no parcels were delayed now  Until I read this thread I was starting to wonder if it was just my bad luck even though my PO said there were still delays as other items I sold after his have arrived safely.

I bet its in one of those warehouses. Apparently the PO will compensate me for the lost goods after 3 weeks but not the postage. It would be the massive large parcel that was expensive to post which hasn't arrived :(
I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.
