I returned a faulty item to a seller early Oct and he still hasn't had it.
Given the info on this thread it may seem worth waiting another week which is then over a month for me. Or is it worth putting a claim in RM anyway as it was sent 1st class?
I know they pay out some compo if it's not been received per 1st class timescales. They seem to say wait for 15 days before claiming on missing though.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
He is not giving me a refund until he gets the money from RM and if I don't like that he'll do what others do and make me claim of RM myself"!
He added a load of auctions last night with new terms in capitals. He is not responsible for any items lost in post, but will provide the COP for the buyer to claim themselves for losses! How do they get away with that?I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Opened my first dispute last night, is clear he's not going to budge. If it arrives I'll cancel, and I did tell him I was prepared to wait another week, but he was having none of it, I wait another month or claim myself end of!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

becky sellers like that give all us sellers a bad name. Stick with a paypal claim and let him rant all he likes.
As for the terms and conditions in his auctions, that should be enough to put off a lot of buyers as it makes the seller look foolish.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. A DVD hasn't turned up either, or some Vouchers, but everything else is coming through.
Ouch! The 10th and 11th Oct were the worst days and quite a few items sent those days have gone AWOL. Was on the Q&A boards last night, someone called the PO to say that the recipient hadn't received the item and the reply was "it wasn't posted on the 11th by any chance?"

On a more positive note, I got an item today that was posted 2nd class on the 1st..."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I'm lucky - I live in a town with a sorting office, things I posted at 3pm yesterday arrived at buyers at 9am this morning. And my board game arrived this morning - seller told me they posted teh 19th, it was actually posted teh 22nd, so not that bad.Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out - but I can usually shut her up with cake!0 -

I've had this problem myself. I made the relevant contact and the seller just ignored me. So, I put in a Paypal dispute which I won. However, the seller had removed all funds from his Paypal account so "you've won, but no cash for you" from Paypal.
If you paid by CC you could always go down the clawback route if you end up like I did.
As Custardy says, RM losses are his problem - not yours. Your contract is with him and Paypal will agree.
If RM lose the parcel (something that has happened to me a few times) it's not the sellers fault but they should be understanding and help you as much as they can.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
