Post still affected by strike?

Just wondering as I bought a board game on the 18th, and its still not arrived, contacted the seller and they replied it was posted next day. I've contacted teh post office and local sorting office, they've got nothing for me, so I was going to wait a bit longer, but is the post still being affected? Everything else of mine's back to normal :/

  • we had a cheque sent to us from our solicitor and it took 3 weeks to get here from about 5 miles away. It was posted the 5th ( 1st day of strike ) and appeared 26th! even though we were getting recent post.

Hubby and I both have not received out M& S credit cards. Worrying thing was we didnt know they had been sent. Its only that he checked the date on his and it was due to expire this week. Have they just binned /misapropriated a load of the backlog?

My post in East London seems OK. For missing ebay items I would stick by what I said on another thread, if the seller is in full communication and responds politely and appears to be taking this seriously wait a while longer before asking for a refund. If the seller stops responding, or ignores you completely go straight to paypal and chargeback. Whatever you do though don't get too close to the 45 day limit.

Thanks - i'm not far from you, and mine was all OK, so I thought the seller might have delayed posting it, i've had things i've bought from america arrive in faster time. I was going to wait longer anyway, give it the 15 working days excluding sat and sun, just in case it arrives. Just thought it was all sorted by now.

  • I'm still having problems with the post so they may will be too. Seems pretty odd sometimes, I had a packaged delivered the very next day (second post too) and yet I'm waiting for another one thats taken more than two weeks. Cant figure it out :(
  • Has International Post got problems too - I sent an Ebay parcel to Ireland over two weeks ago and it has still not arrived.
