You asked for it..
No crisps, cake, alcohol, chocolate, biscuits or sweets.. ice cream once a month (payday treat!) and the low-calorie stuff.. the halo top chocolate is tolerable... but don't eat the tub in one go it gives you the poops.
No meat, no sugar, no cheese.
Fat free yoghurts, 10cal jelly and fruit for breakfast, snacks and dessert.
1 portion (60g) of carby food a day (rice/bread/potatoes/pasta)
Omelette and salad for lunch... every day for 6 months to date!! I do tend to get stuck eating the same things day in day out anyway so this is normal for me. Sometimes I switch the omelette for boiled eggs and prawns or tuna.. no mayo!
I do not stray, I do not 'cheat' and I absolutely do not give up!!

Hm, well I don't do cake/bread/anything with wheat in anyway, although it's true I occasionally (less than once every 2-3 weeks) make a pudding like a fruit crumble or polenta cake. I don't eat ice cream or sweets but do sometimes have chocolate. I've always been teetotal and don't drink fizzy drinks unless diet coke occasionally. Meat and cheese would be the hardest to give up. I don't eat potatoes due to intolerance hence no crisps but will have to weigh my 'normal' rice ration to see how much it is. I don't add sugar to anything and I don't like mayo although admittedly if my salad happens to have cole slaw (not always, and often low fat) then yes, that is there. Portion size I think is my biggest weakness and yes, that may well be cheese/meat.grits teeth. Thanks anyway and well done again. At least I'm booked into 6 gym classes this week to make up for the amount of time I'm sitting at a computer or slumped in a chair with a kindle (recovering from the exercise). I'm just a natural sloth.

Narco, if you struggle with portion size can I suggest using a smaller plate (just slightly) and make sure your food always looks nice on the plate, OH has lost a couple of kgs just because I always use the slightly smaller dinner plates. I hope to go try the large dessert/salad plates after the hols but will see. The other thing is always drink and put your knife and fork down between each mouthful.
I've been following the Blood sugar diet and have lost 8 kgs since start of the year, progress has been very slow but my motivation is that each month I must be lighter than the month before. I am now well within my BMI but am still trying to lose 5 more kgs to try and get off blood pressure medication.
Off to flutter but it's slow progress here0 -
List is up, sorry it's late, we had our end of term/farewell to staff do last night.
It was delicious and calorific.
DS back at work, DD going to an interview so hoping to get stuff done. Have had fan on all night.
Also need to source food/milk which will mean daytime visit to Aldi...ho hum. Physical tasks will be interspersed with sitting tasks due to heat.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning, the fan was on all night here too. Makes it a little cooler but noisy so sleep still eludes me.
Had a great day out yesterday but boy was it hot. As I have overdone it and now have a little headache today's trip out has been cancelled. I have watered the garden, will do the dailies and that will be it.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Morning all,
We are all struggling with the heat here as well. DD in particular doesn't like hot weather (she was a winter baby for a reason I guess!). I had a bit of a result yesterday, as she asked for a list of jobs to be left for her while I went to work. Guess which list it was she got?! So the living room was cleaned, including the windows, and the bonus was she did her bedroom AND found a bag of bits for the cs or binning. I don't expect the motivation to last into today, as today had already been earmarked for a shopping trip.
Narc0 - I'm firmly in the "sloth" camp with you.
First to do some paperwork, pop into work before the school closes for the summer to pick up a book I left there, then maybe some kitchen fluttering before the dreaded shopping trip to the big town :eek:0 -

Morning all
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all trying to cope with the heat / ageing family / children / money worries (especially with those extra mouths to feed atm) or anything else.
Atb,well done on smashing that credit card balance :j
Pigpen, I salute your single-mindedness :T Like Narc0, I tend to fill up with meat, though we also eat loads of veg. I shall have to try to cut down a bit more (and stop licking the bowl when I've made a cake for DS2)
We had lunch and the afternoon out with DGS3+4 - boy, it was hot! We two old fogeys are used to an afternoon siesta
So far today I have
- emptied the compost bits into the outside bin
- watered the apple tree
- S&S'd the kitchen
- tidied the LR
- folded washing
- dealt with a phonecall from the computer repair shop - yes, it was only a failed power unit, but the one they've put in is noisy: I've insisted that they order another (I can't stand background humming)
- politely refused an invitation to a religious convention (not my religion) from two very ardent door-to-door missionaries
- collected lots of jackdaw feathers that the young ones have moulted and dropped on our lawn and in the lane, for the children's group's creative efforts - we're inviting older brothers and sisters to join the toddlers for the 3 meetings during the summer holiday, and adapting our programme accordingly.
I still have to
- make 10 ribbon streamers
- download and print out material
- plan all creative activities
- sort fabric for something long, lightweight and blue
- write out a list of toddlers' birthdays
- replace landing lightbulb which DH still hasn't done
Will catch up again later...0
