  • Pnawn da WK, practicing my Welsh (which reminds me I haven't done my homework!) as much as possible!

Sorry to hear your back is still giving you problems, hope doing a little bit of Yoga each day help.

Very odd about the payments, can't the bank trace the account it comes from.

Fingers crossed the bulk order comes in for you.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, H x
  • Pnawn da @hugglemonster. Sut dach chi?

No, the bank can tell me the payments have come from a N’west account but that’s it. They said the sender needs to ask their bank to trace the payments, but as I keep receiving more they obviously haven’t realised its going to the wrong place. There’s a surname on the transaction, but it’s probably the most common name in Wales so doesn’t help.

These banks really are laughable aren't they.  They have all the info they need bank, sort code, account number even name now what more do they need.  Just try receiving one they don't like & your account gets locked & lit up like a neon sign.
  • Crazy isn’t it?! You’d think they’d be able to reverse it. It’s all in a separate account for now anyway so there’s no chance of it getting spent and it’ll be waiting if/when they trace it.

The big trouble is they could trace it this minute IF they had the will to.  Next thing you know you will be getting a snotty letter saying YOU NEED TO as if you'd never told them.

    Hope the bulk order materialises.

Really glad the yoga helped. I've been amazed at the difference it has made to me.

  • Thank you SH.

My back’s a little better again so I think I’ll be back to work (from home) tomorrow. I’m still feeling a bit run down & overwhelmed so I’m trying to take little steps (like upping my iron intake) to work on this. I got a nice diary for Christmas and have started using it to make short daily lists of ‘goals’ and ‘tasks’. Things look more achievable when they’re broken down into small tasks & it feels good to tick things off the lists.

    Today’s goals were:
~30 minutes exercise - I managed about 20 minutes walking but gave up when it got too wet & windy
    ~
drink 2 glasses of water - achieved

    Today’s tasks were:
    ~sort school uniforms - achieved
~prep DCs lunches for tomorrow - achieved
~clean and clear out fridge - achieved
~sort through seeds and diarise when they need planting - not yet done. I might make a start before bed or I might just bump the task to another day
  • Today’s goals were:

~30 mins exercise - not achieved unless walking around the supermarket counts
    ~Drink 2 glasses of water - achieved

Today’s task (only 1 as I’ve been working):
~Tidy lounge - achieved. Made an effort to do it before starting work so I didn’t forget.

  • I’ve achieved my exercise the last couple of days (lunchtime walks and a little dry stone walling!) but not my water intake - I think it’s the cold weather. I get chills just thinking about drinking a glass of water. Must do better.

Yesterday was my non-working day so I also gave myself a day off from all but essential chores. I spent most of the day trying to keep the fire going in the lounge. I found it quite relaxing.

I worked today and since clocking out we’ve been preparing for the storm to hit. We’re out of the flood risk zone, thankfully, but are expecting to be battered by the wind and possibly lose power. The schools are closing so DH has gone to retrieve DD. We’ve put the wheelie bins in the shed, charged phones etc this evening, charged torch batteries, dug out extra batteries, candles and lighters, and prepped the fireplace, bringing a supply of coal inside. Hopefully none of this will be needed and it won’t be as bad as expected. Stay safe everyone.
