Sorry to hear about your back. Do you have anything to help the muscles relax? When mine was very bad I had diazepam for short term use which helped with the spasms.

Well done on your DD and her new job. It really brings home how grown up they are becoming when they start earning!

  • Great Oli* collections, I got my first one on Thursday and can't believe what we've got. The freezer is absolutely packed!

Hope your back feels better soon.

Llongyfarchiadau to your daughter on her job,

    Diolch/thank you all.

It’s a waiting on job DD has in our nearest pub/restaurant. I think it will do her good and hopefully give her chance to meet some local people. She just needs some black trousers before she starts. She’s an awkward size though - too tall for child ranges and too slim for adult sizes.

I’m having to take a few days off work with the back pain because I just can’t sit for long. I’m on cocodamol and ibuprofen gel (both on prescription and stronger than the over counter ones) but the cocodamol is a bit too strong for me and making me fuzzy headed and feeling sick.

The oli0 collections are great because they give us chance to try things we wouldn’t usually buy. I never usually buy salmon (after buying some from l!dl years ago and it made me & DH really sick) but we tried some hot smoked salmon last night and that was delicious.

  • Thank you SH.

I’m still off work but my back is starting to feel better. I used to do yoga 2-3 times a week but haven’t done it at all since moving house. I need to make an effort to find the time (and space) to start again and try to strengthen my back.

I’ve had another random bank payment. They’re now totalling over £500! I’ve moved it all into a separate account so I’m not tempted to spend it, but don’t understand how somebody could keep sending payments by mistake. It’s bizarre!

We splashed out and bought an air fryer this week (actually it’s a 5 in 1 that is also a mini oven/rotisserie/dehydrator). It was supposed to be £100 but I got a return for £50. The box was a bit battered but the item inside looks brand new. I’m hoping it will pay for itself as it’s supposed to be much cheaper to run than the main oven. We’ve only tried fish & chips in it so far but was really impressed. I find frozen fish can sometimes go a bit soggy in the oven, but it came out beautifully crispy.

Sounds great on the air fryer. Weird about the money.

I find doing yoga stuff amazing for flexibility

  • I forced myself to do a couple of yoga poses last night. I couldn’t face a full session but anything’s got to be better than nothing, right?

I actually woke up today feeling a bit more human. DH brought me a coffee in bed and I had a hot shower before coming downstairs to face the world. My back’s still a bit sore but I’ve got almost full range of movement back. I am wondering if my iron levels are low though. Pretty much every blood test I’ve ever had has come back saying my iron is low, so I probably need to do something about it.

I rushed to make a personalised glass this morning as a free sample for someone who may be interested in placing a bulk order. Fingers crossed it comes off. Then I deep cleaned the kitchen. Now having a snuggle on the sofa with DC3 whilst he watches a film & I update the budget spreadsheet. I’ve planned to the end of March so far and it’s looking good.
