Well done on the cleaning and decluttering. Sounds good progress to me.
I too am having issues with energy suppliers... Sigh...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

There’s no query over our readings as we’re on a smart meter (at both old and new houses) so I don’t understand what they’re doing!
I woke up early this morning in agony in my neck/shoulder. It took me about half an hour to struggle out of bed and come down for some painkillers. They didn’t even touch the pain! I made the mistake of going back to bed and then had to struggle to get up again around 7 when I gave in and took some stronger painkillers previously prescribed for back pain. They’ve taken the edge off but I’ve still been in pain all day.Luckily, I’d booked the day off work. DD had a tour of the local school booked to see about transferring for her a levels, rather than having to transport her back and forth every week. DH ended up taking her and I stayed home, partly because of the pain and partly because we’re still trying to toilet train DC3. She really liked it so hopefully will be able to cut down on the communes after June.
I still managed to get some cleaning/decluttering done today. It was office and bathroom today, which was timed quite well since we’ve now got power in the office. I’ve relocated my desk, craft blanks, machinery etc to the office and managed to empty a set of plastic drawers which have now been relocated to the bathroom. That meant I was able to clear the clutter from the bathroom floor. I’ve also cleaned the kitchen after moving all the office equipment out of there. Overall, I’m happy with the progress I’m making.
I’ve finally managed to sort the credit card and pay for my car insurance and council tax. I’ve also moved the random bank payments into a separate savings account as I expect the sender will try to recover them at some point.1 -
Sounds a really productive day. Hope the pain improves soon. Have you ever tried a chiropractor?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Wow that is a productive day, especially in pain! Sometimes those sorts of days are better than working though.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2

Hi SH, not a chiropractor but my employer did pay for me to see a private physiotherapist a few years ago. She was wonderful but this is a different problem. I usually suffer with pain in my lower back (apparently triggered by carrying babies on my hip) but the latest pain is where my neck meets my shoulder. I must have done something to cause it but I have no idea what. It’s painful again this morning but not as bad as it was yesterday.
It’s really windy here today. Luckily we don’t need to go anywhere. My plan for the day is to do some washing & ironing and to get a big business order finished so that I can deliver it on Monday and issue them with an invoice.
Happy Saturday!2 -
@Drawingaline I’m not really enjoying my job at the moment (short staffed, computer systems don’t work, etc) so definitely a better day than working.1

I’m still suffering with back pain, only it’s spread to my lower back now and I just cannot stand straight. I feel like an old lady. DH is taking the children to see his parents today and I am under strict instructions to do nothing other than make myself cups of tea.
We had 2 0lio collections this week which were fantastic. We kept a joint of lamb, some mince, fruit, veg and bread for ourselves but shared loads more with other people. One neighbour collected bread for his chickens then returned with a tray of eggs as a thank you. It’s a lovely community here.

Thank you @savingholmes. My lower back is in spasm and the muscles won’t release. It’s not been this bad for a long time. I’m pottering around the house & trying to tidy as I go because if I sit for too long I get stuck and can’t move.
In some better news, DD had her 1st job interview yesterday and she got the job. Very proud mum.4
