Sounds lovely. We have sheep, started with 6 ewes about 6 years ago and now have 24 and 13 lambs, though we will be back down to 24 total in autumn. We were complete novices when we bought here. Learnt quickly as previous owners left us 4 geese, 3 pigs and a goat! We also now have chickens. We are eight miles from town and a mile from the village. You'll love it, I'm sure, and wonder why you didn't do it years ago.  Mumtoomany.

Wow! What a rollercoaster. I've been dipping in and reading your diary as and when I've had a few minutes and it's been quite the ride and looks like you've got big adventures to come. Hope the mortgage application all goes well. You've done such an amazing job to reduce your debt thus far and your puppy is so cute! I'm also really curious about your business and what you make!

Hi @Toonie & thank you for the well wishes. It most certainly has been a rollercoaster! If everything goes to plan with the house then we will be debt free (apart from the mortgage) when we move so it's hopefully the start of a new chapter for us.

ETA: forgot to say our business is making personalised items, laser engraving etc.

We've had a thumbs up from the valuer and the mortgage offer has been issued. It's starting to feel real now. I really need to crack on with decluttering!

@hugglemonster no, onto the island. It's about 5 miles from the coast, but in a slightly elevated position so you can see all the way to the sea.

Oooh nice, I'll wave as I do my Ultra run on the coastal path all around the island in September. I've been doing recce runs and just so many beautiful places!
