Thanks both. I'm not usually one for taking painkillers etc but I've had to give in and take some anti-inflammatories. My entire left side is aching and I've cut my hand to pieces. I've got a feeling it's going to be worse in the morning but I don't have time for moping around this week.
I'm only working 2 days this week but I've also got an appointment with the bank, about 35 business items to make, and DC2s birthday. I also really need to start decluttering big time. I've managed to list 2 items for sale today, but that's not made a dent in it.3 -

If it's really sore and you're detemined to keep to your schedule remember that you can alternate the ones that you've already taken with the other kind so that you have something every 2 hours. Give yourself a rest break more often than usual too - you will be more productive than if you push yourself too hard and have to give up. I hope you feel better soon.3

Thanks for the advice. Many hand is really painful this morning (I must have put it out to try and save myself) but the other aches have eased of a little. I've got a really important job to do this morning, but luckily it's the type where I just need to press a button & then keep checking the screen to make sure it progresses ok, so nothing too strenuous.3

That's it, mortgage application submitted. Now keeping fingers crossed (difficult as I'm still in pain!) that they come back with an offer soon.4

Thank you @savingholmes
I've logged onto our mortgage account & all our documents have been marked 'satisfactory' and they have booked a valuation on our new house. I'm hoping that means, providing the valuation goes well, we'll have a mortgage offer next week. I've filled in mountains of paperwork for the solicitor and will hand deliver that tomorrow. It doesn't feel real yet though. I've started decluttering and sold a few items of clothing and a garden toy, but am scared to sell too much just now in case something goes wrong and we end up not moving.5 -
Fingers crossed for the mortgage going through and you can proceed with your house move.

Congratulations on finding a house and having, hopefully, sold yours. Is it more rural than where you are now? Will the puppy become a sheep dog? Are you starting in the same area? Nosy aren't I? Hope all goes well for you. Mumtoomany.Frugal Living Challenge 2025.2

Thank you both. New house is just under an hour away from where we are now, in a more rural location but close to a village and 5 miles from the nearest town. We talked about getting a few sheep (to save us from cutting the grass!) but I don't have a clue how to look after them, so it will just be some chickens to start. Pup will have his choice of fields to run around. DC2 is trying to convince me that we need another puppy to keep him company. My purse says otherwise!3
