Hope you're feeling better now, not surprised you're run down with working so hard and stressed with dh job. All seems to come out at once.

Oh dear, it's been a while since I posted. My week off flew by. I managed to get on top of a few jobs around the house and enjoy some of the glorious sunshine. I've been back in work for a week now and feeling completely exhausted and run down again. I find it really sad as I love my job, but decisions by management have meant our computer systems are not fit for purpose and workload is unmanageable. I'm really hoping things improve but have started to look at what other jobs are out there incase they don't.
We recently moved DH's car finance onto a 0% credit card as the interest was quite high. His car was starting to play up though so he sold it this weekend (surprisingly WBAC offered him a great price, better than any other local garage) and replaced it with one over £4,000 cheaper. We'll pay that straight off the credit card so there'll be around £8,000 outstanding rather than the current £12,000+.
In even more exciting (and quite scary) news, we've put our house on the market. We had it valued and the estate agent thinks we can achieve over £30,000 more than we expected. We've got a mortgage in principle agreed and have started looking for our dream countryside home. We've actually had an offer accepted on a gorgeous property but I'm aware they're still accepting more viewings until we are in a position to proceed, so I'm trying not to get my heart set on that house.7 -
Property is going like hot cakes by where I live. Usually on the website there are 5+ pages of property for sale but these last couple of months it’s just 2, mostly retirement flats. Think it’s not paying stamp duty that has helped. Fingers crossed for a quick sale on your house.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.003

I can't believe it's almost the end of another weekend. Time's just flying at the moment. DH has been in his new job over a month now. His hours are still ridiculously long (but he's been told it will get better from September) but he's being paid really well for it. Although we're still being fairy cautious, it's so nice to be able to do a grocery shop and get little treats for the DCs without worrying how we will pay for it.
I've been eyeing up a balance bike for DC3 for a few months and was hoping they'd get reduced. But today we splashed out and spent the full £25 to buy it for him. He's already been practicing in the garden and we'll hopefully get down to the park with it in the week.
DC2 needs more new shoes so I shopped around online this morning and ordered him a branded pair for £25. They should have been around £50 & were in the sale, I found a code for an extra 20% off then added a pair of socks to the basket get free postage.
DC1 had apparently told DH that she needs some new clothes so no doubt we'll need to order something for her too.
We've had 3 viewings on our house so far, but no offers yet. I'm actually a bit surprised we've not had more interest as we're in a high demand area, but hopefully it will happen soon.4 -
that's a really positive post. good luck with the house, I suspect that there may a slight slack in the market after everyone tried to complete ahead of stamp duty. well done to your OH I bet he feels good pulling in the extra to help you top up your pots. Another month of it might pay for xmas, or a break, then he should ease up a bit if possibleI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Well that's another week flown by! I'm suffering with a migraine again today. It's eased off now but always leaves me feeling drained.
We've had a busy few days with viewings on our house. 3 people seemed genuinely interested but no offers yet. We found our dream home yesterday. We let them know we're interested but obviously need our house to sell to be able to proceed.
I'm hoping to make another £2k overpayment on the debt next week so the car finance that we transferred will be less than half of what it was a month ago.3 -
Hey @WelshKitty85 have just caught up. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that your house sells super fast!3

Hope you sell quickly - especially if you've found somewhere you like. Sounds exciting.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
