Good point. I asked family to give the DC cash instead of vouchers for Christmas for this reason, but hadn't considered the possibility of am@zon not being around!
I did a shop for mum & dad this morning as well as £15 of stuff for us that DH decided we 'needed'. We arranged to let mum know when I was leaving and she opened the gate ready so I could leave shopping in a box in the garden. Felt quite emotional having to communicate through a window. She's still not well but I'm fully aware it could be much worse.
4 business orders completed today. Then, as soon as I closed the laptop, got another order in. Think I'll fire it back up once DC3 goes to bed so we are keeping on top of things.4 -
I'm struggling to get into a routine at the moment with everything we have going on. I don't feel like I spend any quality time with the DCs and meal planning & batch cooking have gone out the window. It ends up being something with chips most nights at the moment. I need to get back to meal planning or at least buy in some easy healthier meals.4

I think you are safe enough with Am**** it's the high street I am concerned about.
With your time and meal planning - whenever you start something new it throws out the routine - bound to take some time to adjust back. Don't forget the overtime you did too. Stop beating yourself up about it...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks both. I'm not so much beating myself up about it, but am conscious it's something I need to work on. DH is capable (and willing) of doing more in the business than he currently is, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and like to oversee everything. I think I need to take a bit of a step back and let him do more.
We're forecast a snow storm this weekend so I'm thinking of taking an early finish tomorrow and getting the grocery shopping done before picking up DC3 so that we can hibernate over the weekend if needs be. I'm going to make a list of easy, healthier meals that we can stock up on. Suggestions welcome. So far my list consists of:
Stuffed peppers.That's it.
The payment from our first big order is pending in our bank account this morning. That's motivating me to get the 2nd big order done this weekend so we can deliver it next week.4 -
Ah it's so difficult to get into a routine, one thing we started yesterday was to have our main meal at lunch time and then a small tea, this helps as when I'm working all my meetings have been moved to the afternoon so by the time I'm finished I have a stinking headache and can't be bothered to cook! We have some meals in the freezer that the kids can heat up in the microwave and tins of soup are an easy win.
Hope your Mum feels better soon.
Glad the business is going well, some lovely things, I'll be looking when the next birthdays come around.

Thank you HM. You've reminded me - soup and sandwiches/fresh bread usually goes down well.2

can't beat beans on toast or cheese on toast or spaghetti hoops every now and again.
if jackets are to your liking then cheese or beans or tuna mayo (we love it with sweetcorn - the big tin for 33p from L1dl, and a couple of 70p tins of tuna)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

Thanks Mark. DH has an issue with potatoes, but the DCs and I love them (tuna & sweetcorn with cheese is my fav) so may need to think of an alternative for him when we have jacket spud night.2

fajitas - most supermarkets sell a pack of 8 for a quid, so could do them with the same mix, or if he likes a hot meal could do a cheesy tuna pasta (or tortilla) melt - pretty basic but a nice easy to have meal - although we're off carbs at the moment I am getting very hungry thinking about themI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
