  • All sounding good, I'd be interested in having a look at what you make. If I think I know where you are there may be a fb page that you would be interested in for local crafters/businesses.

Hope work improves soon, this week I Googled 'how to deal with an overbearing colleague'!!!

    Thanks @hugglemonster I've sent you a link.
I'm taking comfort from the fact my colleagues are feeling the same so at least it's not just me. Unfortunately, working in finance, we're heading into a busy time of year, on top of fixing a mistake that happened 4 years ago, plus a team member going on mat leave and not being replaced. So I'm expecting things to get worse before they get better.

Have you tried the 'too good to go' scheme? Mr M. Good news on your business. Exciting times. Hope your stock arrives soon. I also wish I could earn time and half but am honest enough to know I don't want to work extra time at my day job - I'd rather balance it with something more creative.

I don't often work overtime but on this occasion I think it will do my mental health more damage if I refuse and get further behind on my work.

Delivery was due at 10am bit now estimated around 5pm - I'm guessing due to the snow. That's fine by me. Shopping done first thing then we spent a few hours playing outside. It's very rare for us to get snow so making the most of it while it lasts. Now back inside, DCs bathed to warm up, lunch done, so I'm devouring some leftover Xmas chocolates and watching TV.

I've got the too good to go app but the only place locally is a chippy and the pick up time is a bit late for us. Mr M a few miles away used to be on there, but not seen them recently. And tbh they are in a shopping centre that I find very stressful to navigate with the current restrictions, so I probably wouldn't bother anyway. Managed some reduced mince and chicken this morning from l!dl.

Glad you got to enjoy the snow. Know what you mean about not wanting to be behind either.

Still ridiculously busy. Managed 5 hours overtime yesterday, which I'll get paid at time and a half, and might manage a few more hours this week. We've developed and launched our new product range and have a provisional order for 30 items already. The momentum has slowed on social media though so need to work on that.

Had a phone call from my mum yesterday to say she's tested positive for c19. She works in a care setting so it was only to be expected really. She had the first jab so hoping she only has a mild dose - she has a headache and cough but not particularly ill at the moment. DC3 usually goes there twice a week for childcare bit we've kept him home the last few weeks, so feeling fortunate he's not been at risk as he has a history of respiratory problems.

Well done on the overtime and business.

Thank you @savingholmes I've just spoken to mum and she's feeling rough today. She's got an awful cough and says the headaches are like nothing she's had before. I'm going to do their shopping tomorrow and we've arranged a 'safe' drop off in the back garden. I'm glad she's had the first immunisation as I think without that she'd be much worse.

A few more orders have trickled in today and once we receive all the payments we should be in profit with the business. The order for 30 items has been confirmed.

I received a £10 am@zon voucher from my cc points today and am due to cash another from SB soon. I'm hoping to save them up for Christmas this year, although that was last year's intention and they ended up getting spent as we earned them.

Glad your mum is holding her own.
Nice on the vouchers. I wouldn't hold onto them in this climate - the company might not be around by the time you come to spend them! I'd spend them - you can always put the equivalent value in a xmas savings fund
