My parents and teachers thought I was an angel at 8 years old as well.



As soon as they left the room or weren't in listening range it was the perfect time to throw around obscenities, for a child swearing is like taboo. As soon as I knew they were coming back or in the vicinity. It was back to being an angel again.



Honestly, people aren't stupid, even little 8 year old children aren't stupid and most of them certainly are only "angels" in your presence.



It doesn't mean they won't turn out to be a well rounded individual int he end but I honestly think your child is playing you, not Fortnite.

Microsoft do not ban people through microphone chat. They ban people through messaging. They dont listen to tittle tattle, so sounds like your son has sent a message through the xbox system. Fortnite isnt age appropriate for an eight year old anyway. If it were me, he wouldnt be playing that and he'd be playing Minecraft.

i have access to his account and i have gone through all his messages, but there is nothing there!

I am waiting for him to get his ban lifted and then I am going to try and test my theory and see what happens!

Just because he hasn't written it in a chat message doesn't mean he hasn't spoken it during live gameplay.

On fortnite you whisper people through the game. This isn't saved so you wouldn't see it.

But as has been said, there is absolutely no way that MS record ALL conversation! Can you imagine how many games there are and how many people playing them?

How much space do you think MS has to store all the recordings?

So what you're saying is that your son (could) potentially get this 'friend' banned by similarly lying to Microsoft.


Why not test this theory ?


If Microsoft fail to ban the 'friend' due to lack of evidence then you know your son is lying to you.

that wouldnt be proof to the OP though, it would be an anomaly because his 8 year old is the next Tim henman and has the manners of an etiquette expert.

Get somebody else that you know with an Xbox and fortnight to join in on a few games with him, if he doesn't know that it's someone you know then he won't be on his best behaviour.
