Thanks, Ionafan. I've heard back from the local Women's Refuge and they are happy to take as many as we can give them. I'm really chuffed about that, so it means it's worth taking all of them to the lauderette and getting them washed to line dry in the sun. I've got a few in the attic too, so I'll do the whole lot in one go and clear a big pile of stuff from up there.

Boobs squashed and now ready to embark on a marathon Flying session. I've spent a good hour trying on clothes in our Dingles that is closing down and looked like a sack of potatoes in everything, absolutely everything, I tried on. I need to be slinkier - and those mirrors were not flattering, not even a bit.
    Better is good enough.

Natty sorry to hear about FIL; hope trip to MIL goes as well as can be expected.

Pigpen I remember how horrid it was to have first proper BF dump me; sounds like you did a wonderful job with Moomin. Poor DD2 too.

Froddington oh dear re Mum, hard isn't it :(

    Ionafan you been real busy!

ATB glad your finances are getting sorted out and hope meeting re new job went well.

Dizzy I'm sure no-one hates you but I know how you feel. I will be SO glad when S out of primary on Friday as fed up with all of it.

Well guys, J went off to work this morning and I won't see him until Friday now! House seems really quiet but I feel so much more relaxed it's amazing. So pleased for him. Going to print off the list and see what I can do .... been to the yard and then doing paid work up till now (and a little snooze on the sofa with Whiz Whippet but would have been rude not to!)

    (((Hugs))) Frodders.

All of the spare towels, blankets, duvets and pillows have been gathered and sorted. We've kept back one good synthetic pillow, one memory pillow and two doubt duvets (one feather and one synthetic) as spares. The rest is to be washed and dried - pile is 5' high! There's a brilliant laundrette I used not far away with parking right beside it that's pretty much empty in the early afternoons. I plan on using all of the washing machines at one and then getting most stuff fairly dry there as well before finishing it all off in the sun when it comes out again. The decent stuff with no marks on will go to the Women's Refuge and everything else will go to one of the local animal rescues and if neither of them want them, the tip.

There is now a wonderful big space in the attic. I love it!

And just as I was finishing that someone came to pick up a chest of drawers, didn't quibble about the price and hefted it straight out of the house with no fuss at all. More space. Excellent.
    Better is good enough.

Pigpen Cake everytime, my DD2 (19) has a favourite T shirt that sums it up well "Boys whatever, Cats forever".

Coping vibes for Froddington & Natty

Have actually done some Flying today

Lounge is now completely tidy, dusted and vacuumed, the floors (quarry tiles) still need steaming or mopping but at the moment it is too hot. Have also changed the sofa covers
Stairs cleared, dusted and vacuumed too
Kitchen, tidied, dusted or wiped down, cooker top cleaned (it was gross). Will vacuum in a few minutes but just having a glass of water a short pause. Also trying to meal plan and write a shopping list
Next today is DD1 bedroom & bathroom as step mother will be using it when she arrives on Wednesday.
Downstairs loo cleaned and room dusted etc
Both upstairs loos cleaned and a few other bits done in DD2 bathroom
    DW
    WM x 2

Actually starting to like the house again now it is tidier and a little bit cleaner.

Doing our best under current circs.

Benji went home yesterday; so today bungalow has been Dys0ned and I've washed the Dys0n filters.

Mr LW is currently dusting the lounge; in some ways I wish he'd leave it as he seems to have a bad case of the Dropsies today, and I fear for my Dragons; but I'm keeping quiet and keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't break anything, as I don't want him to feel as useless as I did when I was first diagnosed. :(

Oh - Natty so sorry for your loss. x

I was informed we needed a loaf made, so I've done pizza dough also while the BM was down; need to throw some topping on it in a bit.

Roll on Friday evening, when Buddy and Indi arrive for their hols.

Thank you for all the lists xx

I offering hugs all round to those that need them.

Been on my long drive, OH went on his motorbike and I followed on in the 'crew car' :) we met up at the other end and on the way back watched the F-22's (I think) to have a break.

The coast / sea was wonderful, we watched the golfers / fishing boats / and tourists.
