I am hoping that this final week of school before the holidays will not be as fraught and stressed as usual, but this weekend I did have a "moment" when various mums were moaning on the PTA messenger thread about it being the same old people who help out and raise cash for the school by supporting their events. I posted to say not everyone can help - either financially or by giving time, due to their personal circumstances and that making these people feel guilty isn't actually helpful. As yet, no reply by anyone, although I can see that everyone has read it. I'm now paranoid that everyone hates me :(

They cant defend the indefensible, moreover it was/is ever thus. The work of PTAs in supporting schools is hugely appreciated.

It's very 'windy' tonight. Fortunately I sleep alone and can have the window open.

Thank you for the lists. Lots of hugs Natty to you and Dave.

The intention is to be in again, but intentions don't seem to be working too well in this heat. DD is home with a smelly rucksack so that will be sorted outside. The good weather is jolly useful for some things.

Off to work shortly, then I'll catch up later. Have a good day everyone. X

    Morning All,

I am in, thanks for the lists ladies. Valli I hope you feel better today xx

One of DH very late payers has finally paid us this morning :j so I have just done a money shuffle. One more really overdue invoice to go and then we will be straighter than we have been in ages. His plan is to have left the business by the end of the year, so I am busily getting our household finances in order, although tax credits seem to have messed up again and are saying we owe them money. They can have £10 per week repayment terms

Meeting about new job this morning :) so I need to make myself look presentable! Hair has been straightened, now time for war paint!

    Have lovely days all xx

    Bonjour,

I'm in this week, loads to do but have made lists and have already made a good start this morning. No one here for the start of the week so should be able to get on with stuff and it will stay straight for more than a few minutes!

Going to go back to posting what I've done as seeint the list get longer motivates me, rather than being daunted by what I still have to do.

    See you all later

Thanks for the list last week, Valli, and for this week too, Natty. (((Hugs))) for you and Dave.
    (((Hugs))) for Moomin.
Dizzy, you already know that people who are enjoying have a whinge would rather not be reminded that they're being a bit unreasonable. Pics of Fluffball please.
Ionafan, did you manage to find anywhere for the duvet? We've got all of the ones from the chalet and I'd rather rehome them than take them to the tip, along with most of the spares in the attic.

My froggie minutes are done! I need to clear a backlog of letters and get back to the third big frog that's partially done from a few weeks ago. The diary this week isn't looking too bad but I've got a boob squash this morning and there's no doubt that it gets more painful as I get older. Prophylactic ibuprofen is the order of the day, I think.
    Better is good enough.

Morning. I!!!8217;m in again. I keep lurking but not posting as I seem to be running around like a blue ar*ed fly at the moment. I!!!8217;m staying on top of things but the more deep cleaning is not getting done.

So on top of the basics today I need to mop that kitchen floor and do the oven. If I achieve those today I will be satisfied with the Flying.

Off to do the kitchen basics then to the Gym - I didn!!!8217;t make it at all last week and my weight is a definite Slinky horror.

It!!!8217;s raining.:j:j The temperature has finally dropped a bit. Although I don!!!8217;t thinks it!!!8217;s going to be enough to rescue the garden.:(

Enjoy your meeting, atb, especially with the payment in your bank account at last :j

Glad to hear that Tiny Imp and Fluffball are already as thick as thieves ;) Photo please?
GWS wishes to Froddy and more to Valli.

Honey Bear, I eventually got the duvet washed for half the price of cleaning it and dried it in the sun. It is on my to-do list for after the essay, to be taken to a friend who is a trustee of a local charity that sells good quality items at very low cost to those on reduced benefits setting up home, eg ex-prisoners, formerly homeless people.

    Already achieved today:
    - :coffee:
    - written the next (short) section of my essay
    - ate breakfast prepared by DH :A
    - cleared and wiped all kitchen surfaces
    - put child's booster seat back on top of the cupboard in the lobby
    - tidied, dusted and hoovered LR, kitchen and hallway, DR
    - tidied (slightly) and hoovered utility
    - cleaned dirty marks off the DR floor
    - steam mopped kitchen floor

    Still to do:
    - shower and dress (3 min)
    - S&S bathroom (2 min)
    - carry on with writing, relying on DH to make :coffee:; hopefully he will also take R for a short walk
    - lunch at 12.30
    - out with 2 friends at 1.20 to meet up with the rest of the Old Wives at a GC, for our annual guided tour of their wildlife field
    - at least one of the friends stopping for evening meal
    - take R for a proper walk
    - do some more writing
    - fall into bed, exhausted

Wow Ionafan what a lot you've already done.,

Listening to the radio via PC and lots of coffee and water being drunk whilst I get on with things, lots of dot to dotting, bins filling up nicely (how sad is that)

    So far I have

Tidied the lounge, there is nothing that isn't where it should be,
    Cleared everything off stairs
Tidied downstairs loo (removed old magazines)
    Cleaned downstairs loo
    Dusted lounge
    WM

    Back to work
    xx

My planned cleaning of wheelie bin last week failure as someone had put their rubbish in my bin, furious, its only a granny bin. rant over. I have meal planned this week so the only thing I will need to go to the shop for is lollies if we run out! its raining here though, about time!!
I plan to do the items in red tonight. I managed to get a load of weeding done and some weed killer out over the weekend so it is all much tidier.
