Loved the video, Valli. Absolutely fab.

Good luck with the business getting off the ground, Dizzy.

I went shopping. It was worth it for the shrimps and banana sweets reduced to 50p.
Until now, this had been my guilty secret. Packet devoured before I had even driven back from the shops. :o

I don't think that I have done an awful lot productive this weekend. I did the usual Saturday running around yesterday, the ironing pile is threatening to topple, and I am looking again for more imaginative ways to [STRIKE]hide[/STRIKE] use courgettes. I need to get up into the loft to retrieve the jars for pickling, but the thought of the heat up there is putting me off. I need a kick up the proverbial, if anyone feels like doing the honours.

Ok I left again when I lost my beloved dog, in May was the last time I was here hence the GC target, the youngest of the pack and TBH I was just too devastated to do most things.

I am back, I need to get a grip on things

I have been trying to do more fitness things I do not think I am any lighter than I was and hoping my seamstress can solve the wedding dress issue

At the caravan for the weekend. Did gym and swim yesterday for the first time ever. I have got a washer load to do before I leave (we wash clothes to leave here for next week) then I want to sort some of the kitchen cupboards out
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Just out of interest, anybody - what on earth is in Root Beer? Himself offered me a glass of it last night as he'd found it in the corner shop and I couldn't drink it because it smelled more like some sort of liniment my Granddad used to use (just as likely something horse related, but it was just impossible to willingly taste something that smelled like my Granddad's cuddles).

I've never been inclined to drink Root Beer due to the smell being identical to Germolene. Or at least how Germolene used to smell :D

Think I've worked it out - Wintergreen. As put into horse liniment (Granddad worked with horses when he were but a mere lad - didn't get any bigger, really, but I expect the smell was a constant reminder of happier - and sadder in WWI - times, after officialdom decreed that horses weren't necessary for public transportation anymore).

At least I know I'm not imagining it.

Breakfast is finally on the go, as I looked in the fridge, slung out desiccated items and an unopened packet of mozzarella that looked on the point of explosion, realised there was nothing in there that counted as food and closed it again in disgust. So since I've let him get away with being silently sat down for an hour hoping I wouldn't notice him, he's now been sent round the corner. His mistake was to be overheard happily munching upon crisps and sweets for breakfast.

I'm going to have to make an online order, I think, and get things that are actually edible or usable as ingredients in cooking food, as I am not going to spend the summer looking in the fridge and cupboards that I pay to fill up, only to find processed crud in various stages of decomposition, Haribo and stale biscuits, along with sugary drinks that must be refrigerated once open but have been left out for a week.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Jojo do an online order once a week or so, you have been here before having to order in food / drinks at work as your OH hadn't got any thing in, with an online order you get what YOU want / need to eat, and (having never done an online food order) can have it delivered at a time suitable to you I think.

My new fridge / freezer is here well it has been here for a while, unpacked, and working, it has 'settled' so I have been next door and got my food back, OH has to go else where to get the rest of the food back, as I have no idea which neighbours he left it with............
I have been and bought milk / fruit / yogurts, as they were either chucked out or eaten.

    Hoovering done
Tip run of unwanted packaging done
    Sandwich eaten
Hoilday cat fed and had a cuddle.

The solder has broken on my lamp.. the bit where the bulb sits.. I love the lamp but rarely use it.. do I have permission to bin it? can I set it free or should I keep it with the aim of getting it fixed and never seeing it happen?
    Bin it.

Please someone kick me out of the comfy garden chair (where I am reclining with laptop on lap) and make me clean a window or two. I have been on holiday all week so cleaning a few windows will not do me permanent damage.

I really cant be bothered. But I know I wont have time to clean windows all week and they are annoying me.

    Bah.

    Round 3 completed.

There was room on the line for a couple more items so I shoved load No 3 into WM and pegged the rest to the airer and put it outside in the sun.

I've had a couple of hours with mum and dad, then been to feed/ water the budgies for a friend. Called at Mr C00p on the way home and picked up a couple of bits for pack up next week.

There was just a towel plus a couple of tea towels waiting to be washed - so WM x 4th load is swishing.

That will need pegging out, and loads 1-3 bringing in and folded. Apart from that I'm done for the day - going in to 'conserve spoons' mode.

Watching TdF and it's the Grand Prix highlights later - I think it might be cider o'clock.

    Cheers

Bin it, Piggers. The kittens knocked over the lamp on my desk and I'm in the same position. It was my parents, made out of an abacus they bought when we lived in Malaysia, so it's 55 years old and I love it. If OH doesn't fix it as he's said he will I will be binning it.

FBO, I rarely get the oomph to do things like paint the yard but it looked so vile after it had been pressure-washed by an idiot (not OH) that I took advantage of the energy and did the first coat of middles, so to speak. I'm going to give it three coats and then mask and paint the edges. Twiggle has white paint on her tail and Kelpie had to have his head washed where he brushed up against it, too.

Good luck with the business, Dizzy.

Showered, painting clothes washed and I'm about to peg them out and take Kelps for a trundle before feeding him and then I can stop. After that we're out for dinner and then going to an open air screening of Dirty Dancing here tonight. Nobody puts Baby .... and all that.
    Better is good enough.

Ha! A fluffy mule it is then, thanks RT x

Downstairs windows are done. I washed, DS2 followed with window vac. We probably wouldn't win any window cleaning competitions but they look better.

Now I am reclining again. DH is going to cook his famous cajun chicken pasta thingy and there is garlic bread and salad.

I have to go to work tomorrow. I seriously need some motivation.
