Congrats on having that debt closed!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Thank you 😊. It's been a kick up DH's backside too, he's keen to get rid of the rest quicker now. He's found some stuff in his garage that he might try to sell to repay his mum back quicker too.Overslept today, hate mornings where we are all rushing. Got to work and realised my top was inside out 🙈. Then had to pick DS up as some of his lessons changed and he finished early, need to sort him a train pass out as he can catch that home for £2.20 with the pass. Wouldn't be often and saves me driving there, it's only 20 minutes away but we call it the never ending road as it seems to take ages. Could have done without it today as I was hoping to get through to Thursday without needing petrol, but will need to put some in now.My sister rang today to say she is also moving back 😁🎉 means both sisters and one brother will all be within walking distance soon, amazing!SPC 0762

Morning Robin
Well done on paying a debt off, it really does inspire you to crack on to tackle more doesn't it. Hope you have a more leisurely start to your day and there are no more wardrobe malfunctions.

Thanks both.Well, bad luck with the car continued this week. On Wednesday, the head gasket went, so I haven't got a car anymore. DH said it is just bad luck, as had it of been anything else he would have been able to fix it. It would cost more to fix than we paid so we are selling it spares and repairs, have someone hopefully coming to collect tomorrow. I always say the other car is a heap of junk, but 11 years we've had that with minor issues that DH has always been able to fix. I will admit I cried alot, just feel we are having a run of bad luck lately. But I felt better after a good cry, I'm lucky I managed to get home safely before it totally died on me and nobody was hurt. Just money, money, money 🙄. But DS this week told me that he is really enjoying himself and looks forward to going back out to school and seeing his friends. It has been a long time since I've heard anything like that off him and it literally just made my whole year. Some people say this year has been the worse, but personally 2019 was by far worse for us. If we are healthy and happy, I'm sure I can get used to my dad giving me lifts again 😭🤣.I missed a day at work Thursday because I woke up in the night with the worst migraine, I tried migraleve but I kept being sick. I barely moved the whole day. After sleeping most of the day, I was up Friday by 3am and couldn't get back to sleep so just got on with some jobs, went to work and then got back to the big delivery off my brother, thankfully I was home in time as they wasn't meant to be coming until Saturday. The pallet truck was broke so he couldn't bring the pallets to my door, so was a good 60 trips back and forth up my driveway with heavy boxes. We can no longer move in our dining room. It is an easy job but ridiculously boring and it does hurt my hands. DS has helped quite a bit so we have got quite a lot done over this weekend. The cat is annoyed because I have to lock her out and had to move her food. Binge watching Grey's Anatomy from the beginning again is helping with the boredom.Didn't beat my step targets again. Barely any on Thursday because of my head. Lots more than usual Friday due to all those extra trips up my drive and today my fitbit needed charging, but doubt it was many as was sat down the majority of the day trying to get more finished, really hope to get it finished this week so I can get it all out of my way.Cutting the budget back as far as possible, selling the car for spares and getting paid the extra from my brother, we will have around £900 to buy another car. Wish us luck that this one will actually last 🤞Have a good week everyone.SPC 0762

Hi Robin
Lovely to read DS is enjoying college. I agree, no matter what else is going on as long as you're happy and healthy, that's all that matters. Bad news about the car, but good that you can get some money out of it by selling spares. I quite like the sound of a job that doesn't require much concentration and means you can be making money whilst watching TV.
Trying to think what I'd watch and I reckon it might be ER and Thirtysomething. Loved both those programmes. xx
