It must be, abba. I can't remember getting as stressed as he does but I definitely don't remember the school putting as much pressure on us like these days 😔.

Back to work today, first weekday I've done in a while. Only a few days in before it shuts for Christmas. January is looking very quiet, will wait and see what happens. Went into my parents afterwards to help them with some bits. Have been going in weekly to help them as they need quite a bit of help with stuff. Put some Christmas decorations up for them today too.

DH has decided he's going to paint the dining room before Christmas 🤔 which is great but means it's going to be in a right mess again just as I've sorted it back 😂. He has everything here apart from one tin of paint as he wanted a new colour on the feature wall, he bought that today so hopefully will start this weekend and get it done. I would like to get some new curtains for the patio door so will have a look around for prices.

Had an email today to say the theatre trip for February has now been cancelled, this was rearranged already and not sure they are offering that again. Really do miss the theatre. If things do open properly next year there is lots to look forward to though 😊.
I managed a theatre trip in the week the west end actually managed to open!!! Took the boy to see a production of A Christmas Carol. It was a stripped back one with three actors on stage and it was amazing. We paid £15 for seats at the top with a restricted view, but we didn't care. It is one of the boys GCSE texts and he missed out on seeing blood brothers in April (another of his texts) so I am glad we managed this one. It was so well done and in a modern theatre. Everyone was so respectful, masks, social distancing etc. The train was empty both ways, the only time it was crowded was the three minute tube journey, loads of hand sanitizer after and we made sure to face each other rather than anyone else! Then hung back on the platform so we were last as we were in no hurry.

Nothing more booked bar Heather's, which has finally confirmed a new tour, so next July, but tbh not convinced it will happen.

Glad you managed to squeeze a show in when they were still open. We have Heather's rescheduled to next June and Six to next December. Hoping to see School of Rock next year if we are able too 🤞.

Didn't get the dining room finished before the pallet arrived but not got much left to do, finish the gloss and put pictures back up etc. It is going to look really nice once it is all done 😊. Not as big of order as they had hoped due to low stock levels at the suppliers so will be all done and gone by the weekend. I am a day behind because yesterday I woke up with another terrible migraine, even had to get DH home from work to take DD to school as I couldn't do anything. Slept most of the day, thankfully all better now.

DD won the Christmas hamper at school today 🎄😁 so definitely do not need anymore chocolate, sweets or biscuits. Struggled to carry it home. She was so happy running out to tell me 😊.

Paid for DS's bus pass for next term. £240 and I believe that takes us up until the Easter holidays. Will start saving again now to pay it when it's next due. Only one more day at school for them 🎄🎅.

Thank you jwil :) she was very pleased with her win.

Have loved the holidays so far. Lots of Christmas crafts, films etc. Did a drive round with DD on the weekend and dropped presents and cards off to everyone we could. Also had to deliver some for my mum, hopefully I got the right houses 😂.

Off out tonight to a Christmas event, it's an outdoor event so meeting my brother, SIL and nephew there too. Absolutely tipping down though, never mind. Unfortunately there has been quite a lot of flooding locally in the past week.

We are still in tier 2. I really do feel for those who had their hopes of meeting up with friends and families dashed. It will be no different to us as its usually just the 4 of us on Christmas day, that's how we like it. Feel for my nan who hasn't been able to see anyone for so long now. She is in Aberystwyth and seems to be pretty bad there and they are also now on full lockdown.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Hope your event went well.

We are in Tier 2 as well but I can't see it lasting as our cases doubled last week!

Hope you have a lovely Christmas :)

Event was very good and we all really enjoyed it 🎅.

Yes, announcement today is putting us into tier 3 on Boxing Day. Today the rain continued and I just feel quite emotional about everything. I just feel so sad for those who's homes are flooding or those who are stuck out in it trying to get home. My sisters car had to be towed home after sinking at work. I feel extremely lucky that we are home and safe and have everything we need.

DS had an opticians appointment this morning. Unfortunately his eye sight has got worse again in his left eye, any worse and he will be blind in that eye. Anyhow he picked a lovely new pair of glasses (they made him go outside in the rain to try them on without his mask 🤨) . They cost £90 but I don't think that's too bad as he does wear them everyday. I also picked up my new glasses but have to go back in the new year for readjustment as when I got back and took my mask off, they don't actually fit and keep slipping down my nose 😆.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas x
