Hi all,Still no car 😔 so still getting lifts from my dad when needed or car sharing with DH. Have lost count of how many we have been to see, but none have been any good. We have managed to save some more towards it, for when a decent one comes up. Hasn't helped this time around as so many areas close by have been on lockdown for a while now, and with the firebreak in Wales now it is limiting it even more. 10 minutes down the road from us is now on lockdown.First lot of work for my brother finished so have our dining room back to normal. DD has decorated the living room ready for Halloween, but keeps watching Christmas films 🤣.DD is no longer going to gymnastics, the other week was the first chance I had to take her myself and I was surprised with how busy it was and not many of the guidelines being followed 😕. That weekend she was then sick everywhere 😷 which she then passed to us, it was only mild as we all just felt very nauseous for a few days but only DD was sick but meant time off school and work. Her school said they had no sickness bug so must have been there as those are the only two places she's been. She hasn't been for a couple of weeks because it didn't seem worth the risk. We then found out that my brother and his wife are expecting another baby 😍🎉 and they will hopefully be living around the corner in a few weeks time, so she will be seeing a lot more of SIL so it's one less risk if she doesn't attend.DD still hasn't been to the dentist, they cancelled this week for the 3rd time and said all non emergency are cancelled until next March 😳 I pointed out she has always had terrible problems with her teeth and has already missed 3 treatments since the beginning of the year but they said if she isn't in pain, there is nothing they can do and to ring back next year! Only a few days before they left me a message to say adult check ups were starting so wonder if they know something we don't.Getting there with the Christmas shopping. Pretty much done for DDs birthday and their Christmas presents. Still have others to buy for though and quite a few birthdays before too. It was the twins 2nd birthday this week, that's gone quick! SIL and nephews next week and then nearly one every week leading up until Christmas 😆. This is why I guard the Christmas/gift pot with my life 🤣.Take care everyone.SPC 0763

I think you are right to be cautious with the new cars, as many will not have been run frequently which can do bad things
my experience is that kids love a thing and then it stops for whatever reason and they move on to the next thing, so hopefully your DD will get over it
hope you can carry on staying safe even in difficult circumstances - although with another sister in the area (plus a little one on the way) that's promising for future family fun!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Congrats to your sister!

Hi all. Hadn't realised it has been so long since my last post.Still no car, but only working on weekends at the moment anyway or at home doing the job for my brother. Last pallets arriving this week, unsure how many orders as he's wiped the stock out at the suppliers but should all be done by the end of the week 🤞.Had a bit of a nightmare with a blocked drain in the bathroom. Now need new bathroom flooring, bath panel and our kitchen repainted and the kitchen ceiling replastered 🙈.DD's birthday tomorrow, day out obviously cancelled due to the lockdown but had a refund and bought her another little gift instead and she is still very excited. Christmas presents nearly all bought, just a few left to get.My brother moved last month, haven't seen him as much as we had hoped due to lockdown but it is amazing having them so close by. Missing everyone especially my sister as haven't been able to see her for a long time now, not even in passing as she's working all hours at the hospital. Everyone is in the same position though and I just hope things will be better for everyone next year.Have paid £600/£1500 back to MIL, had hoped to have paid a bit extra but money has been down but will be gone soon enough. Will try and get on here more, but days whizz by with me doing the same thing, everyday and don't want to bore you all 😆. Hope everyone is well.SPC 0763

Sorry about the car and hope you find an affordable new one soon. Great you have family nearby.
I have noticed lots of comments about people worrying their diaries are boring so I would say that is life this year for most of us so don't worry about that.
