Robin09 said:Thanks for the ideas Mark, 😊. Thankfully today's work has been sent through proper links. The problem was the teacher was only taking a photo of the pages in the workbooks. So in theory we could print them out but they were wonky pictures and had stuff in the background on the desk! Really not great but someone must have got their point across as it's been changed today, which made things a lot easier. Still nothing particularly fun but DD got through it quick. DS only had one live lesson today but has had some work set for the other subjects.I think you are doing amazing, jwil.Just feeling a bit blurgh today. Got very little sleep which never helps. Going to clean the house and have a bath and watch a documentary with DD. Have been doing daily exercise but still eating junk that's here from Christmas which isn't helping, really need to sort myself out.
Hope you've managed to have a relaxing day and feel better tomorrow x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Hi all,So glad it's Friday and we've finished another week of home learning. We have finally got into a better routine but it has been made easier by DS's decision to go back to school. Some may disagree with this decision but it is best for him and he said he is concentrating a lot better having the routine of going into school. His head of year was happy to welcome him back. Never would have thought he would prefer to go back. As we are not working around his timetable, me and DD are getting out everyday for a walk after finishing her work.Finished our bedroom, well sort of. Still need to buy a few bits to finish it off but they are on hold for now and it is still 100% better than it was. Really pleased with it.Not buying any more bits for the house for a while as we had another offer on one of our debts. A £700 offer on a £1900 debt so definitely a good saving. This is our 2nd biggest debt so will be nice for it to go. We will have to merge all our savings pots and restart them all but we have decided to go for it.Weighed myself this morning 😭 for the first time in a long time. I'm not one to go by numbers on the scales, but feel I need a bit of a kick up the a** right now. Being home all the time isn't helping with my snacking and it's definitely showing. My sisters wedding is rebooked for July, who knows if that will happen but for now it's the only thing we've got to look forward to, so that's my goal date.Hope everyone is well and has a restful weekend.SPC 0765

Ooh congrats on the offer! That's a nice discount.
It sounds like school is the right place for DS and you have got a good balance now.
Good luck with the weight loss, I really need to but have zero motivation at the moment!
Have a lovely weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Thanks jwil. Lack of motivation here too 😣 DH's birthday tomorrow and I've ordered him a cheesecake that looks amazing but other than that I am really going to try hard this week.DS said he definitely found it easier being back at school last week. He is home today though as he has a weekly CAHMs online meeting so he won't be going in on Mondays or every other Wednesday, as he has no lessons. We had snow yesterday. Was forecast but wasn't expecting it as we rarely get it even when the surrounding areas are blocked off with it. So was surprised to see we had a good couple of inches when we woke up. DD was up and out before 7am building a snowman ⛄ and we went for a walk around the lake so she could take some photos. Melted quickly and now just icy out but managed a short walk this morning. Wanted to get DD out as she has been quite snappy this morning and whilst doing her school work wrote 'I hate lockdown' on her work 😣.My sister is finally moving this week. Has been pushed back quite a few times but all contracts are now signed so she will be back around the corner on Thursday 😁. Will be great when we can actually visit each other but for now it's nice to know she is close by again. Not as close as my brother (can see his house from ours) but less than a 10 minute walk towards the lake.SPC 0764

How does it work with the offer if you don't mind explaining, does it then show as partially settled on your credit report rather than settled, until its wiped?Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.223

That will be nice to have your sister close by

The one debt we have settled so far is marked as 'satisfied' on the credit report. Our debts defaulted years ago and we are on self managed DMP.Will be dreaming about this tonight...SPC 0762
