    Thanks Jwil :)

Spends this morning for Comic Relief donations for the DC. After work I popped to best friends for a coffee and to pick up my Sisters birthday present that she had made, a beautiful chicken she had needle felted. She is very talented and I know my sister is going to love it, she didn't want anything for it but I gave her £10 which is not enough for the effort she put in, but she wouldn't accept more.

DD didn't like her session at Beavers last night. She didn't dislike it but didn't like it either, just didn't seem impressed and not sure if she wants to go again. Never mind, can't like everything and she still enjoys her weekly athletics and is looking forward to more swimming lessons :) DS was in Scouting for 9 years and I wonder if DD has built up in her mind what it would be like, after hearing his stories and it didn't meet her expectations, as she had been excited to go for so long.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

So not long after my last post, I had a phone call off my sister to say she was at my parents and my mum was feeling unwell and confused. Picked my other sister up on the way and went straight there. She didn't recognise any of us and said she didn't realise she had daughters :( They think she is having a stroke. I travelled in the ambulance with her whilst my dad and sisters followed behind. Currently sat on the floor waiting in the hospital. Cheltenham races are on so it's been heaving all night. Still waiting for results. Would love a hot drink but the machine is out of order. Hopefully will get some answers soon. Not how any of us expected this night to turn out.

Yes, a very bizarre night. I got home this morning just after 7. Think sleeping is going to make me feel worse so had a bath and going to have something to eat and a coffee. My mum still doesn't remember us and is very confused, we mentioned our brothers and she didn't have a clue :(. They were still waiting on different results when I left so no real news yet. DD has a party this afternoon, will take her to that and go back up later.

Sorry to hear that Robin. I've been to Cheltenham at race time and it's not pretty. Can only have added to your stress when trying to get your mum settled. Fingers crossed for you

Thank you all for the messages. It has all been very strange and tiring.

My mum had a mini stroke, and although she seems fine in herself now, she still has no memory back! She can only remember living with her mum and sister, her mum died when she was 12, she's 62:eek: They have no idea when her memory will come back, but they've sent her home now as otherwise she is doing fine. It was very odd bringing her back to a place she's lived for 35 years and she just doesn't remember it. She remembers nothing of us, but is also very accepting of the fact we are her family. Like I said, all very strange. In the midst of it all, there is also the family drama that has dragged on for years now, that I'm nearly always dragged into :wall:

Other than that, just trying to get on as normal. My mum wants to come 'meet' the DC tomorrow though, nothing normal about that situation. I'm as confused as her!
