Thank you all!! No change today, we all have everything crossed that it may just come back as fast as it seemed to go. We are all confused and exhausted by the last week, so her head must be a whirlwind right now :(

DD was up all night coughing so none of us got much sleep, so she stayed home today and we snuggled on the sofa for the day. She is tired so hopefully she will have a better night tonight. DS also came home straight from school, instead of his after school group, not feeling too good either. Hopefully they both feel brighter tomorrow. My sister popped by, it's her birthday and she loved the needle felt chicken :)

Not going back into work until Friday. Hopefully going to have an early night tonight. Will be staying at home tomorrow to get everything clean and sort the garden out a bit. DH needs the car so won't be going anywhere far if I do go out.

Hi again Tink, and thank you :)

Feeling quite overwhelmed at the moment with everything going on. I never do seem to cope well when stuff goes wrong :o went to see my best friend after work, which always cheers me up.

My mum has had a memory about having keys to a house but when she has described it, none of us have any idea what house she is thinking of, so haven't been able to help with that. It's a week today since it all started. She has had a bad headache so they are sending her back for scans, but not until next month. Something to do with needing time between scans. Still haven't seen her with the DC yet because she's not been feeling too good but also DD is finding it all very hard to accept. Hard to explain to a 6 year old what's going on.

Quiet weekend planned, may take the DC swimming as they now both get in free with their memberships, so just me to pay for. Thankfully, no parties this weekend for DD which have been pretty constant lately. Hoping for some nice weather to get out in the garden and a walk, there are baby lambs everywhere, so cute :)

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

  • Sorry to hear about your mum. Has anyone given you any literature about the stroke association? My mum was given a pack at the hospital following my grandmother's stroke, but a friend who had a stroke about 2 years ago, has found their support groups really useful.

Thanks Honeysuckle, I believe my Dad may have been given a pack, will ask him.

Lovely weather this weekend. DS got invited out yesterday with a friend so me and DD did some stuff in the garden, looking much better for it. Hopefully will have time this week to sort out the front lawn and driveway, as the weather is supposed to be nice again. DH also put up the retractable line we've had in the box for ages, has dried the clothes quicker than the rotary line. Did remind me that our green bin license is out this week so £32 spent renewing that, sure it wasn't that much last time

My brother was over today with his wife and DS. Spent a lovely time at the park and ponds with them. Have arranged to go over for the weekend in the holidays for my brothers birthday. Day out planned to the Safari Park. They are paying for me and DH (a thank you, for the times we've had my nephew over night and when he's been unable to go to nursery) so will be £44 instead of £103 :) will pay for a birthday takeaway or such, but have enough in the days out pot in the savings to cover it all :D

Will go see my mum tomorrow. I haven't been this weekend but my sisters and brother did, I really did just need the time out and I do feel more relaxed. Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.
