Lush~~If it was me I just would not make two meals.
You are a better woman than me.
I have no idea on how you can get him to consider your needs though.
It cant all be a one way thing from you though.

it is hard, i think i find it much easier to separate it all as like i say he appears to be somewhere on the spectrum - though other times he seems to understand other things....usually when it suits him.

i do think that my fears are keeping me kind of stale/static- fear that he won't miss me like others say he would. and more so the fear that i would quite enjoy the freedom of not always having to second guess situations/food/etc

    but anyway i digress x

Do you think your DH has got worse since you got married or is it that reality has set in?

Kathryn, sorry to hear about your daughter's injury. I have to say that as they get older they cause more worry, work and cost.... it is all down hill! We have just taken DS1 and DIL out for tea... over £100 gone in a few hours, but we had a lovely time. A summer of limited mobility may sound like a nightmare, but you can channel her energy into something creative or reading, both of which will do her mind the world of good.

With MIL I would strongly recommend getting health/financial power of attorney in place urgently. xxx

Good luck on the weigh in :T:T:T

Bubbs I used to have soya regularly, but it used to irritate OH's tongue. Use lots of tomato and herbs. Just one question - how the heck did I miss freebie!!!

Lush, you are doing so well to remain focused. I am hoping you are realising that you deserve so much more from life and your relationship. We are sending special hugs for you. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Lush, I agree with beanie you are a better woman than me. I would not be as kind and considerate are you, never mind cooking for him....I would have bobbitted him in his sleep.

On a serious note, a large proportion of man are on the spectrum but majority of them do not treat their partners like yours do. I know he has a brain injury, but he does sounds like he has narcissistic and anti-social traits.

Do not be scared of loosing weight, or having freedom - you have a right to have a wonderful life x

PS me and beanie are available for an 'insurance job'..... if needed :D:D:D:D:D:D

Evening all! Thanks for the chart Chris and well done for SOTW Sky - keeping my fingers crossed for your final result xx

Hugs Kathrynha (and daughter) - you must be sick of the sight of that hospital!

Lovely to see you posting again Lush, but sorry to hear things are so rough. Sounds like you have two kids on your hands and one more childish than the other. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn but it seems that you're running yourself ragged trying to please him and he gets away with being an @rse by hiding behind his brain disorder. I'm assuming you've sat down with him and explained how you feel?

Me, I'm pleased to report two full days on plan - am I thin yet?

    Tomorrow:
    B - Mullerlight and granola
D - Crustless quiche (2), new potatoes, salad
S - Fruit pot (apple, pomegranate, passionfruit)
T - Campfire stew from freezer (not exactly the weather for it but it's approaching its first birthday so needs eating up!)
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Granola
Other syns - Sugar in coffee.

OK, off to bed before we do it all again tomorrow. Sigh.

Hugs Lush. Your hubby sounds worse than mine.
Mine has issues after he had a stroke the other year, and I sometimes wonder how much is down to the stroke, and how much the stroke is just used as an excuse.
He used to be super fussy too, and it is down to how he was brought up. his mum is super fussy, no foreign food, and hubby used to be the same, but I refuse to cook two meals.
Two conversations about food with hubby in the past to give you all a laugh:
Me - Do you like asparagus?
    Hubby - No
Me - Have you ever tried asparagus?
Hubby - No, but my mum doesn't like it so I won't either
Since fed him asparagus and he loves it!

    Hubby - I don't like foreign food
Me - But you like burgers and pizza's
    Hubby - They aren't foreign
Me - and you like the chili and fajitas I make
Hubby - but you are making them, and you're British therefore they aren't foreign

I also wonder about what is left in my marriage, but there is a fear of separation, and coping on my own and stuff. It's kind of a rut. Not a happy rut, but a 'you know what to expect' rut.

I agree that the power of attorney would be good, although in reality hubby does most stuff for her already. If she needs cash out she give him her card and he knows her pin.
We went through it with my grandparents and it's a lot easier to sort it when they are still able to agree with it, but MiL wouldn't agree with it so it's a no go.

Going to definitely be doing creative stuff with my daughter over the summer. She likes craft, just not all the time.
She does love escape rooms and so do I so planning to do a few this summer to entertain her, but yes it will get expensive.

Totally. Need my own personalised parking space
