  • Can I put down 7lb for the new challange please.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

    Weight loss 3 stone :D

    Evening all

Are there any magazine vouchers for slimming world available please?

No idea about magazine offers at the moment, but probably not as there was one about a month ago. However there is a special offer which is showing online on the SW website which is half price joining fee so £5 instead of £10 plus the £4.95 weekly fee (£4.65 if you're over 60). Total for 1st week £9.95 instead of £14.95.

  • Morning all. September reset for me I think. I have gained a little over the summer, still in range but have no room to jiggle with. I'd like to join in the next challenge please and I'll aim for -6lbs. We've booked a trip for the last week in November and I really want to be at the other end of range by then.
Hope you don't mind me tagging along again.
    Plan today is:-
    Hea Bob milk
    Heb brown thin
    B - melon
L - bacon medallion and tomato sandwich
D - egg, sw chips and beetroot
    Snacks - orange, grapes
    Syns - none planned

It's a lovely sunny day here so loads of washing on the line. I'll walk the dog in a bit and then maybe do a bit of gardening.

    Guess who's back?
    Back again
    Top Girl's back
    With a friend...

My friend being the half stone I've put on over the summer. A weekend away featuring a wedding, both my and Top Bloke's birthdays and the start of the football season have a lot to answer for (as does my complete lack of self control)

Time to shine again now though, my lovelies. Hope you're all well!

Can I have a - 8 target for the new challenge please?

    Today has been planned meticulously

    B - Breakfast quiche
D - Potato leek and bacon soup
T - Beef stew with loads of speed on the side

I know I can lose and I'm back in the frame of mind where I want to now. So, no more excuses, no more full sharesize bags of hot chicken wing flavoured crisps (not til I've got my first stone off anyway...) and no more extra wine syns because it's the end of the week. I'm not even back at work yet !!!!!!...
  • Slightly misbehaved at week end as I was with friends & family for meals :( So back on a mission today. Did cook yesterday, so all dinners prepped for this week, all I need to do is add speed.

    Breakfast today was weetabix
Lunch will be pasta, turkey salad, no mayo.
Dinner will be some of the beef I cooked in slow cooker, with cauli, brocolli and maybe some tatty.

Think I will forgo syns today, try & recoup some of the excess from weekend.

Hope you all have a good week.

Can I be put down for -7lb for the next challenge please?
A smile costs little but creates much :)

 Good to see you back topgirl. Half a stone isn't too bad at all. Good to hear you sounding motivated and positive.:)

A Subway voucher thing came with the post this morning. 9 vouchers for various meal deals. Not one of them includes the salad bowl. Everything on there is full of bread/crisps/cookies/fizzy drinks. It does make me cross that the country is suffering an obesity crisis and everywhere you look offers are on potentially unhealthy food. Thank goodness for Aldi Super 6!:)

The beef casserole with fake red wine stockpot went down well last night. DH just commented that we hadn't had it for a while. I don't think he noticed the lack of wine.;) There's a portion left for my lunch too.

I'm trying dried noodles this evening instead of my usual straight to wok. I do hope they work OK as when I've tried previously I've found them a bit soggy.

On Saturday I called into Home Bargains as I was in that direction. They had a selection of beans at 4 for £: red beans, butter beans, cannellini beans and chick peas. Tinned tomatoes were the same price. They had the Pek ham with 20% free for 95p. I find that good for Austrian Ham Hash as it's syn free. Heinz pickled cabbage at £1. The beans will be really useful as we're really enjoying Veggie Chilli.

    Todays EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB overnight oats with red berries, HEA milk for drinks
    L: LO casserole with veg
D: Chicken Teriyaki stir fry with noodles
    Syns: NONE!
  • Hello - This is my intention to stick around. (this time!) I hope there's room, time has come to sort out my stupid priorities, whether or not life's demands wants me to.

I'm refreshing things by reading through the links and will try to balance this with the habits developed via NSD days. Starting today on EE, with a current syn tally of 4ish. 2 allowed for the coconut milk/chicken curry this evening.

I'll be joining group tomorrow mostly to get back in a planning habit, up to date books and such, starting at the bottom of this hill. Right now I'd settle for shifting 2 stone, lets see how far I get.

Welcome back Top Girl and DancingDragons.

I always use the dried noodles Maman. I cook them for about 3.5 minutes and then drain before adding to the wok. Seems to work for me.

Today has been more on plan than the rest of the holiday so far - Weetabix for breakfast; lunch was 3 Ryvita with HM hummus and cucumber. Tonight’s dinner will be savoury mince, mixed veg, peas and mash.
