    Morning folks x

Washing sorted and 1 load ready to go at 6.30am ( I!!!8217;m a thoughtful neighbor)
Cat sick cleared up on window sill.

Both my sisters and bil have gone away this week so parent care is down to just me. Dancepops is really unwell and his heart nurse is trying to get him in to hospital in the next few days. Then I will have to split myself in to3.
  • Morning team!

Washing seems to be piling up as fast as I'm doing it - keep unearthing forgotten socks from side of the bed/under the wardrobe/inside suitcases!

Curently putting anything I don't want to move with on eBay as I find it - two more to take to the post office and a small pile to be added later today.

Dehumidifiers are getting done today because flat is damp and unless they get emptied it gets very muggy.

Starting to get super organised - one box for packing supplies (gaffa tape, labels, small boxes, ziplock bags), one box for posting supplies (different size envelopes), anything currently listed for sale is on one (very crowded!) chair, re-purposed an old filofax into my moving organiser, designated a folder for all moving-related documents.

Today is an inventory of existing boxes, de-spidering the ones I've already got and nipping to the retail park across the road (if I've got time) to see if I can pick up some more for free - I recon B&M is going to have the best selection but there's always Poundland and Aldi if they don't have anything!

    Morning all,
Been up and at it this morning. DD and her various bags / instruments dropped at school, market and grocery shopping done, so lots of fruit, veg and fish purchased. A rather tasty pastry might just have found its way into the trolley (slinky, moi??), but I needed it.

Shopping put away, which took as long as the shop itself, bed changed, wm just finished, and 2nd coat of paint put on a garden bench. That has been on my Toots list for about 3 years since the bench found its way into our garden from one of DH's relatives. It was a delightful shade of *ahem* flaking cedar, but is now apparently Wild Thyme.

I have just done the dreaded hair wash, so will hang out the washing before bracing myself with drier and straighteners, otherwise I will frighten all children and animals.

Dizzy ye gods and little fishes, £5K??? Tiny is going to be on "no pocket money" for the next 30 years, methinks!

Dancemum sorry to hear that Dancepops is so poorly; please try not to run yourself into the ground, I know that's easier said than done. x

Mr LW has collected my morphine script from the surgery, so we'll be popping into town to get it filled shortly; need to visit @ldi as well (out of milk AGAIN).
He's also kindly thrown the Dys0n round the bungalow. :A

Apart from that, I have a list of tasks as long as my arm, and no mojo.

(((Hugs))) to Dancemum xxx - one for each part of you. I don't know how you cope with everything.

£5K :eek::eek::eek::eek: Dizzy!!!! I think you ought to pass it off as art and sell the van to a collector. Surely Tiny's creative output is at least as valuable as this.

I have submitted Component 1 (vlog and blogs from the group project) and am now struggling to write 1250 words of reflection on a module that I hated. It simply has to be done today.

DH :A has hoovered downstairs and plated up a nice salad for lunch, which we ate outside. It sure was hot out there! but Rosie still lay in the sun.

We are also out of milk. I made a nice cuppa at about 11.00 and then tasted mine - the milk was off, not enough to curdle but definitely cheesy. I'm now on mint tea (which I hate) or plain water (which is fine).

    Back to the grindstone...

Your vehicle is no doubt a lot smarter and valuable than our car, Dizzy. I got a paint match from Halfords and a thing of primer and filled in these scratches myself. It cost me about £15 in total having been quoted £1,500. If I'd got a decent paintbrush it would have helped, as it is in the light you can see my repairs. Although, OH said, 'Someone's keyed the car again' the other day. I asked him where and he said on the side panel near the boot and the boot itself. He hadn't even noticed the original scratches and my repairs over the past six months!

    (((Hugs))) Dancemum.

(((Hugs))) Ionafan. You may have hated it, but after today it's out of your life forever. Yay! Rooting for you but doing it with a drink you hate and no tea is a bit much.

Ground floor vacuumed and carpet scrubbed where it needed it. The fridge was in dire need of attention so I've sorted out all the problems, we ate the leftovers for lunch and I've frozen various different sized boxes of swede, carrot and sweet potato mash, and then fried all the onions that weren't being eaten. I need to make some pastry so we can have an onion flan (it's fab) but we don't have any plain flour at the moment and we needed some for burgers tomorrow night, too.

Shopping when it cools down and then I've got to take the minutes at a meeting this evening and we've got a friend coming to stay tonight.
    Better is good enough.
  • Tolerable day today.

However, I have just found an advert for a PRU wanting an admin person. Same hours (although there might be 8-4 instead of 9-5 plus compulsory unpaid overtime whenever the Boss decides it), same distance from home. No lifting. Based in the office rather than in the thick of it. Just office work. And about £3000 more on the salary.

Anybody know what working in a PRU office is like? I'm massively tempted, even though I don't think work will be particularly happy with me for applying.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

JJTF of course they wont be happy...but it might make them a bit more considerate of your needs at least.

Had to scrap plan because someone had chucked the resources while tidying up, claiming they were ancient (not true) and mouldy (could have been washed and I dispute that claim anyway).. the the same someone had locked away what I needed this afternoon saying it wasn't to be used. I made the office bod give me it all. My displeasure has been communicated.
