    Girls deposited at school.
School rang re Moomin.. I thought it best to keep them in the loop.

I need to buy her at least 1 more school top and some trousers.. and bin her boys ones! Seriously.. CF made her wear boys school trousers!!! I will address further needs after summer.
I need to order PE kits for the 3 smalls.
I need to buy Moomin :~ school shoes, underwear, socks, school bottom half, school top, 3 outfits for out of school.. she has 2 pairs of jeans and a pair of jeggings and a couple of shirts I found in a box

I need to book Moomin a hair cut
We have opticians tomorrow.. for D, M, E, D and moi! .. getting Moom some nice glasses she will actually wear because cf made her get free childrens glasses and they are too small for her face, I am a bit disgusted the shop didn't say 'they are too small and these are our bigger ones!'

I've got a guy coming to do a quote for decorating the bedroom on Sunday about 5.. and I've messaged an elctrician about fitting a downstairs loo and a shower cubicle in the bathroom where the second toilet currently is.. 7 years it is since I was able to shower at home..

HMRC decided we were underpaid last year so gave us a £1000 gift!.. so we might be able to get this done as a priority.

Shopping done and freezer filled and fruit bowl filled, parcel posted and I think I am vaguely organised.. very vaguely..

Having a cuppa and cracking on with folding laundry.. yuk!

    and.. Oh my giddy aunt!!!

Ebay just found a case in MY FAVOUR!!!! I posted an item, signed for.. delivery was attempted and they didn't collect it from the post office so because it had been delivered to their house initially they closed the case and the buyer doesn't get their refund... I feel a bit bad really.. but I had offered to repost if they paid postage again.. but I really thought I was going to be £4 out of pocket there. I'm very impressed!! I might refund what they paid minus the postage costs as a goodwill gesture, that seems more fair to me.. even if they have ignored all my messages for 3 days!

    Washing from the line folded
OH out planting with a snotty little helper.. she is filling up all the pots he is emptying.. we got to B&Q as they reduced everything last weekend so have loads to go out..

 to atb. It sounds like a sensible decision by you and your DH.

Go for the job, Jojo. The school does not own you.

Very glad to hear that Moomin is back home. Very sorry to hear about your s-i-l: hope the hospital can help her.

You can tell how slow my DH is: while he had his shower and shave this morning I
    - S&S'd the kitchen
    - set a trap of cider vinegar and washing-up liquid for the fruit flies (it's working quite well)
    - got my hair cut (no.4 all over - very cool ;))
    - cleaned the "workmen's" loo
    - cleaned the ensuite
    - hung out a load of blankets
    - put Rosie's crate back in the car

We have been out to a local forest centre, had coffee in the sun, walked only about 3/4 mile (after which DH was shattered) but Rosie ran miles in circles around us and had a wonderful time, then we went back to the cafe for pie and mash which was delicious and something that I never cook at home. 80p for a dog sausage was well spent, too - Rosie certainly thought so! - and I got a bag of waste coffee grounds for my compost bin :D

I was going to take my friend out for a cuppa his afternoon, but she is visiting her brother so I shall
    - hang out WM load no.2
    - put in WM load no.3
    - clean the bathroom
    - sort books onto shelves and paper into filing cabinet
    - enjoy 40 winks (well, approximately.... I'm not counting!)
    - have a salad tea and ice cream outside
    - wipe out 2 fridges
    - go to choir practice this evening
    - food shop on the way home.

It's a greatly appreciated change from writing essays!

Making some progress! Bathroom thoroughly scrubbed, kitchen wiped over, washing done.
Now trying to work out how much I can reasonably pack away over the weekend - aiming to move around 9th or 10th but will have OH here over the weekend to help!

I'm reeling a bit from getting up early (for me) intending to go back to bed after walking Kelpie on his first walk and then not stopping until just now. To the point where Ionafan has been to a ferret centre ....

JoJo, you start to worry over YOU please, and not what your work think about you applying for another job.

(it is nothing to do with them)
They have had their chance, it sounds like it is time for you to move on to something you love and want to do, leaving you moving heavy loads around when you have just been off sick is just daft, good luck with the job hunting

    ^^^ Wot she said.

Respectful (((hug))) for all of it.

Sensible ATB. The govt tells us small businesses are the engine of the economy and then proceeds to screw them every whichway.

Decisions imminent about my job which is all very stressful. Going to go back to bed and see if I can can get another hour and a bit sleep before I have to be up again. Its going to be a long day.

I hope it works out that you get something out of the situation.

Totally full on here. We were going to manage the three chalet lets booked for after completion which we insisted were honoured. The buyers had a change of mind on Tuesday - we were welcome to come and take all of our stuff and they would take over the lets. OH hired a van, went yesterday to clear it all and unloaded it into the house before I got back from the foodbank. (Can't say I rushed home.) I now I've put eight loads through the WM with another three to go before I start on the blankets, duvets and pillows, and it's all being line-dried so things are being shuffed continuously. I've photographed huge piles of stuff to put on the Bay of E and Gumtwig in between doing the shopping and trundling Kelpie in shady areas as far as possible.

Thank goodness we're only out for a couple of hours tonight and again tomorrow morning because after that I want to do absolutely nothing for the rest of the weekend.

    Hob s/and/s'ed as well.
    Better is good enough.

    Look!!! I'm sitting down!!!

Shopping done to buy Mooms undies, pjs and 1 pair of school trousers.. she is so underfed her pelvis is visible through her clothes.. I am weighing her in the morning. Apparently she is allowed bran flakes with skimmed milk for breakfast, a single wrap with a single slice of ham and an apple for lunch and a ready meal for dinner (approx 850 calories).. that is a 'healthy diet' for a growing teenager apparently... She has put away so much food today she is going to be the size of a house by Monday!! I think once she realises nothing is 'forbidden' in this house she will reel it in a bit and moderate her food intake to a normal level.. CF has lied already to social services (I reported him).. the man is a total fruit loop!!! He has been asked by them to box up her necessities.. underwear, school clothes, phone, and other bits etc.. and has refused to get them for her.. I'm giving her and Mimi some money each to go shopping next weekend.. I'm pretty sure they will manage to find things they like then.. Tesco is either babies or older females, not young women!

Words fail me for what some of you are going through. Be kind to yourselves. Do what is right for you and your loved ones. Because in the end, that is all that really matters.

Big hugs, you are all fab. X

    Morning Flyers,

Wide awake at 4am so gave in and got up. Expect I will need a nap later! DS is up with me now, and we are watching The Incredibles.

Aldi list written so we can get there for 8am when it opens; we are having a BBQ later. Tax account checked (sob), invoice done for DH, complaint letter typed ready to print and post in a bit.

Since the start of the year, whenever we have received some marketing post (catalogues, brochures etc) I have been calling or emailing the company to ask to be taken off the mail list. Sounds really sad but I was sick of basically putting most of the post straight in the recycling! We hardly ever get post now which makes me happier, I know that sounds odd!

Meters read and submitted yesterday, need to get my super frugal head on for as and when DH does wind the business up.

That's a long witter for 6am, more tea needed! Have lovely days all x

    Morning All

Well it's been an exhausting week so I've done absolutely nothing apart from clean up after Poppy! Working outside in this heat is not fun.

Anyway, I am home alone, apart from Poppy, and I want to try and sort the place out a bit although I do need to relax at some point over the weekend too or else I am going to start next week exhausted too. I emptied the contents of the airing cupboard onto the landing last night as I was after a black sheet for my DM to cut up into a costume for me - we have a Disney day at work next Friday where apparently we have got to do star jumps while singing a Disney song for a world record attempt or something like that - in this heat! Anyway, I have been meaning to sort the airing cupboard out for a bit so that will be one job for the weekend. I also need to write my report for the AGM on Thursday.

Oh well, first things first, I'd better water the potatoes before it gets too hot and get a wash on.

Hope you're feeling better soon piggers and moomin's ok.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

    Morning

Oh my - trials and tribulations abound! Hugs. healing vibes, and peace of mind being sent out in to the ether xx

I can give you some good news :) DS had an interview for a fulltime job yesterday and got the job :j:T:j Part-time wages have crippled him financially and his morale was plummeting; he actually looked different when he got the good news (I guess a weight had lifted - I hope this means he'll get back to his usual bouncy self)

I've been a bit of a flylady through the week: Monday and Tuesday, after work, I did WM x 1 and out to dry before bedtime. I've also rinsed and recycled cans and plastic as they were emptied: until Thursday when brain fog descended and I went on to work/eat/sleep/repeat automatic pilot.

Woken up tired again this morning - after an awful dream :( so I'm going to bimble rather than full blown buzz (nothing new there then :o)

Got off to a good start by stripping my bed when I got out of it - so pillowcase, sheet and duvet cover (which put up a fight!!!) are gaily sloshing around the WM. They'll take up the line but won't take long to dry in this weather, so I'll be able to crack on with Mount Washmore later.

    Round 1 =
    1. get dressed
    2. change towels in bathroom
    3. put out rubbish
    4. feed birds
    5. eat breakfast

Teeny tiny steps - no rush. Twot to rush!!
