Why isnt my car selling??
Comments
-
When I saw the "offer" of £7500, I thought. Of course someone is going to pay probably more than a car is worth sight unseen!
It's happened to me every time I've sold a car! (I wish!)
And every one I've ever bought has been thousands cheaper than the book price. . .
But all joking aside, if I was the OP, I'd be expecting someone to turn up and offer much (and I mean much) less.
Maybe I've looked too many gift horses in the mouth, and found them to be wearing dentures, but these days I'd also be extra cautious of anyone too willing to pay over the odds for something.0 -
Just to update you all...I sold the car yesterday for £7,350 (without MOT). The buyer thought the car was in good condition and that the pictures didn't do it justice. He brought a mechanic friend with him who said it'll easily pass MOT with no advisories.
Thanks for the advice (those of you who tried to help).
I wont be replying to anymore messages on this thread now as I realise some people have nothing better to do than simply write nasty or unhelpful comments anonymously online because their lives are so unfulfilled.

Thanks for the update, dont take it personal mate, glad its gone :money:"Come on England"“People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”

Everyone told you it was too expensive. You ended up knocking just short of a grand off the price and it sold.
So basically, you were wrong.0 -
Also, for the model and mileage it is the cheapest on thereI'm selling it for a reasonable price.
For the price, it is a good car.
FYI, I have had a lot of interest in the car now. I've got a buyer who's coming Friday and taking it for £7,500.Just to update you all...I sold the car yesterday for £7,350 (without MOT).
So at £8250 it was very good value and the cheapest car of the same model and mileage on Autotrader yet no one wanted it.
You then had to reduce it by £750 just to get people interested and the person who initially offered this amount then paid other £150 less.
So you ended up reducing the price by £900 (11%) to get it sold.
Isn't that exactly what everyone tried telling you?0 -

How about replying to those posters who wrote helpful comments such as suggesting that you reduced the selling price?
After all, they must have been helpful because you do seemed to have followed that advice.0
