AutoTrader suggest selling it at £7270 in good condition. The price of the vehicle is too high for starters. It hasnt had a service every year and the MOT is very short.

Id suggest getting a new MOT and dropping the price to £7200. If you havent got another car yet, it would most likely fetch £6200 on trade in and be put up for sale around your current price once touched up etc, or simply put in an auction.

Most of this has been mentioned already so it is fairly obvious stuff.

Webuyanycar would offer around £6300 and this would likely to be lower once theyve looked at the car. This is normal.

I tend to find most private ads are too high. Rather go to a dealer that has a reputation to protect.

Ok.... for kick off, and in no particular order -
    • Pretty much the first line of the advert is "Minor damage to body of car". I'd stop reading at that point. If i'm prepared to pay a premium for a low miles car, i want it to be mint.
    • Short MOT
    • The 1.6 is viewed as underpowered
    • Its too expensive. I can buy one a year younger from a dealer, mint, and a warranty for £7685

    My advice :-
    • Sort out the bodywork
    • Full years MOT
    • Drop the price to £6995 if you want the phone to ring. Dont negotiate downwards from that price other than a few pounds "goodwill gesture"

Not every buyer wants a Quashqai, (or any other marque for that matter), over all the consensous is that the car is over priced, headlamp obviously out of alignment (has it been in a smash?)
You have to go with the market, offer at the fair to good price and expect the fair price.

Was it necessary to call it an overpriced junk, i think was the point?

How to make newbies feel welcome, eh?

Thanks for the advice. Just 1 question...I've written "offers welcome". Why isnt anyone even offering?

Desperate come to my mind instantly, contradiction evidenced by your photo of damage yet described as fair wear and tear but wrote minor damaged in the first line! in your advert instantly thought if that is fair wear and tear and minor what else is damaged he claims is fair wear and tear an minor a rod knock?.
its obviously been valeted by copious use of a static magnet spray n shine cockpit, and a cheap waxing all over (whats to hide with the body work rings to mind).

The ad just doesn't present as honest to me. Seems to me like someone is trying hard to flip a turd for a premium because of its mileage.

Probably not looking anymore at that point.

The price needs to be good for starters. Then the photos, then normally the trader in my opinion. If it is a private seller, I tend to move on unless the price is very good. Yours is not. And the MOT is short. There are things that need sorting as people have previously stated for you.
