So the OP's read and subsequently ignored most of the advice given - price reduced to £7,850 and 'body damage' moved to later in the description.

    It!!!8217;s all been said but
If I was looking privately I would stop reading at minor damage and short MOT. Wouldn!!!8217;t matter what the price was as I wouldnt get any further.

Sort the damage and MOT it otherwise you may not sell it other then to webuyanycar etc

Is there a reason why you havent MOTd it

I cant help but see you're all criticizing the car for damage and short MOT. Both are minor issues. An MOT will cost £50 and I know there will be no advisories. Its not a brand new car so expecting it to look pristine is frankly absurd.

As stated by so many of you, I am a private seller, so I'm not prepared to put more money into the car. I'm selling it for a reasonable price. For some reason you're all incredibly suspicious of the car but the truth is, its a great car. If you think its overpriced, that's your opinion. I'll respectfully disagree with you.

I'm not a garage, therefore pictures wont be amazing, the body of the car wont be amazing. The car itself is. As a private seller, I am prepared to negotiate and for you to determine what I will or will not come down to is your own idea. So 'knowing' I wont reduce the price is just arrogant.

For the price, it is a good car. For those of you cant see that, that's fine by me. For those that can, they'll be getting a good deal.

FYI, I have had a lot of interest in the car now. I've got a buyer who's coming Friday and taking it for £7,500.

Thanks for all your advice (which I would like to point out, is just advice, if I choose to ignore it, I can :)).

I am not suspicious of the car at all. I'm sure it's absolutely fine and you are a perfectly legitimate seller, but an MOT is a nice reassuring sweetener. It's like when a dealer says "I'll put 12 months on it for you". It just reminds the buyer that what they are buying is a good solid vehicle. We both know that the car will fly through it's MOT, so why not just get it done? An MOT will help you shift it.

You don't have to be a nature photographer to take some decent photos of the car. The interior shots, in my opinion, just aren't very flattering. The exterior shots are pretty much what you would expect. Not sure why a garage ensures pristine bodywork either.

You've come for advice. We've given it. You don't like it, don't listen.

Good Luck and I hope you sell the car on Friday :)

    Of course you can ignore

BUT you asked why isnt my car selling or even getting any interest.

    You have your answers.

as for being suspicous, you have hit the nail on the head, all car buyers should be suspicous, which is why most will got to a main dealer to get the reassurance.

good luck and please update after friday

I don;t think anyone has been suspicious... Yet.

Personally I would run a mile. Far too low milage shouts only used for short trips. Engine about to die. Should have had an oil change every six months but with low milage peolpe seem to think it can be increased not decreased.

If it had done 40K or proof of adiquate servicing on the "I am abusing the car" plan and maybe I would consider it... If it were not for the other issues.

Low milage is not something to desire. I'd prefer a car that had done 100K on the motorway.

Any used car being sold for a relatively substantial amount which is not offered with 12 months MOT suggests the seller has doubts it would pass without large expense. Plenty of Qashqais on offer, so the vast majority of potential buyers will move on to the next one.

Although slightly off topic, this is absolutely true.

Another reason you want a fresh MOT is that if you're "offering to MOT it if needed" you're ensuring that they can't just take the car away the same day - they'll agree to buy, you'll MOT it that week (hopefully) and they'll collect it the following weekend.
If they aren't local, that's a lot of driving about to do, and there's the risk that something will need done for the MOT or the whole thing just drags on.

For private purchases, I want to turn up, look at it, hand over cash and take it home.
