Still not received my email, waiting for it because I'm hoping to get out of the contract on the TV.0

Does anyone know of any landline & broadband providers that provide a guarantee not to raise prices during a contract period? A bit like tesco do for mobile phone customer?
I know we can just opt to leave the contract, but having to go through the time-consuming process every few weeks isn't really sustainable for me. Surprised that Ofcom allows these companies to do this.
you_llneverwalkalone, thanks for the warning about SSE. I had been considering them as an alternative.
If you are happy to pay 18 months up front, then Origin Broadband Supersaver deals may be worth looking at.

I started with them over eighteen months ago now on one of these deals and have just renewed for another 18 months. You do have to pay up front, but there are no price increases during the period.
I know that some people on here have had a bad experience with them, but I can't fault them for reliability and customer service. Hence why I re-signed.
Most people who loose their internet blame it on the ISP when usually it's down to the Openreach plant that is at fault. This can happen with any ISP. However, the more expensive ISPs do get a better response from OR when it comes to fault repair times.0 -

Works out at £12.90pm on a 12 month contract. Cheaper still if you pay the line rental in advance.0 -

I spent half an hour on the phone to a lady in Newcastle this afternoon, and the upshot is I've cancelled the BT Sport altogether.
So BT's greed has not only resulted in me never using their landline phone to make a single paid call for the last two years, but they've now lost me as a BT Sport customer as well.
So well done, BT! Your price increase has saved me £3.50 a month!
Exactly the same for me - my broadband stays the same but BT Sport Lite goes up to £6 so I'm also planning to cancel the sport. Does anyone know whether I have to do this within 30 days or can I leave it to mid-September when the increase kicks in?
I think the BT Sport app is just an add-on that I should be able to cancel at any time rather than being part of my main broadband contract.0 -

BT have just offered me to stay with my current fibre for 23.99 a month (I mentioned the Now Broadband 20 a month deal), would mean recontracting for another 18 months.
Am tempted to stick with them as thats 8 a month cheaper than before the price rise!0 -
BT price change email states:
If you want to leave and you're within your minimum contract term, you'll need to call us within 30 days from the date of this email to avoid paying a charge for leaving early.
You'll need to give us 30 days' notice to leave (or 14 days if you're switching to a new provider).
We won't charge you for any increase in price during that time.
Thank you for choosing us – and we hope you continue to get the best out of our services.
