No parking was a dealbreaker for me when I was house hunting 16 years ago. I would definitely want parking...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Yes, parking was on my ‘must have’ list too, but will look at this house and see. I don’t use the car much these days as I work from home and DS’s school would be the next street over from this house, and the shops and OH’s are a few streets in the other direction, so everything is within easy walking distance. I would much prefer parking though.£19 OP sent to the mortgage this morning, the balance is now £97,980. Once that £980 has gone, I would have paid off £10k in around 18 months as my mortgage on this house was £107k to start with in March 2019, so I’m really pleased with that.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55

Urgh, I'm so fed up with seeing rubbish houses. I saw both this morning and both are firmly crossed off the list for numerous issues. I am not booked into see anything else now as there's nothing else on the market.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55

Morning all, it's grey, wet and dull here today - matches my mood.
I slept better last night but my one best friend here had some devastating news yesterday and I've been feeling so sad and upset for her that I can't think of much else. Life really does tend to poop on the good people a lot, it is so unfair. Wish I could change the situation for her, but there's absolutely nothing I can do. I feel so helpless.
Have had to have words with the ex about inappropriate material glorifying domestic violence being sent by his GF's son to DS this morning. Unbelievable if you knew what the ex did for a living. The ex has also managed to 'lose' the pair of new trainers I bought for DS for school that I supplied to him (he wouldn't have sorted it for DS, never has). I really do understand why people up and move them and their kids far away after a split, the constant drip of issues is enough to wear you down so thin.
I've emailed one of the more helpful estate agent's this morning, asking if they have anything not yet listed as I'm aware they have sold a few houses before they've even been advertised. We'll see if she comes back with anything. In the meantime, a house the same as mine has sold on the same estate for £20K more than I've sold mine for which makes me think I've sold mine too cheap. Mine is actually in a better position and with a detached garage etc too. I'm a bit annoyed as it's with the same EA I sold mine through so they obviously screwed the valuations up somewhere. If the buyers don't want to wait for me to find somewhere and pull out, I am tempted to withdraw from sale with this agent and put it on with a cheaper one at a higher price.
I really wish things would go my way for a change, I'm so tired of everything being so difficult.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55

Sending hugs to you my lovely. It’s rather rubbish at the moment! I hope your ex is going to replace the trainers?!4

Thanks PB x Yes, after I have said I'm not buying another pair, although ordering them online the day before school starts doesn't really help much.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55

Oh, and the ex has just asked me how we are going to tell which pair are ‘his’ trainers to return them to the ex when DS wears them to school and comes home to my house. I don’t think there’s an emoji I can put here to cover my disbelief!
To explain, I bought two pairs as DS has really wide feet that are notoriously difficult to find shoes for and these fit him well, are only £23, but do wear out quickly. The ex lost the new pair I gave him for when DS goes to school from his house, so is replacing them. Now he wants to lay claim and keep tabs on the shoes he has purchased. I told him they are not mine or his, but DS’s and if we worked everything that way, DS would have nothing at his house, I have bought 99% of it all. Words bl00dy fail me. And still he thinks he’s Dad of the year.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55

How on earth do you cope? If my ex was like that I think I would’ve punched him by now 😖🙈3

I honestly don’t know PB. The audacity and arrogance gets worse every time I have to deal with him, although his GF thinks he’s ‘a saint’ and I’m the unreasonable one! If only she knew the half of it. She has a shock coming her way when he can keep up the act and the lies no longer. He’s the absolute definition of a narcissist. My only hope is that DS can see through that when he’s older and the ex doesn’t tell him a load of lies too.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55

Last night OH and I popped to Morrisons (late, so it was quiet) and we picked up lots of ‘reduced to clear’ bargains from their frozen food aisle. I bought big bags of frozen leeks and courgettes for 50p, bags of mini fish fillets for £1 from £3 and 4 ham and cheese Kiev’s which DS likes for £1.99. There was lots of reduced lines but it wasn’t an obvious spot and was all spread out, so may be worth looking down the freezer aisles if you’re popping to Morrisons anytime soon.I’ve taken a big joint of pork out of the freezer that my parents kindly gave me and will cook it in the slow cooker tomorrow, hopefully to make some pulled pork. It will last OH and I for days and has also made room for last night’s bargains!
I have sold something on fb which is being collected tomorrow for £25. I was reluctant to sell it as it belonged to my lovely Nan, but no-one else in the family wants it, I have never used it, nor do I remember my Nan ever treasuring it that much and it is a delicate item that has only just survived the last two house moves. It also takes up a fair bit of space. I have decided to buy another premium bond with the money, maybe Nan will bring us a little bit of luck that way. ❤️Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £49,869.55
