Thank you Four_Seasons, unfortunately I'm feeling worse today than yesterday. I've still not heard back from the doctors and have tried getting an appointment today to no avail. I explained to the receptionist that I need to speak to someone and she said I'm 'on the list.' If I don't hear from them by this afternoon I'll have to call 111 as it's obviously bank holiday tomorrow and the surgery is closed.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

sorry you are feeling so poorly, think 111 is the right way to go if you don't get any joy. stay in the warm (its perishing here!) and drink plenty of fluids, all of which you know - sorry x1

Thanks everyone, thankfully I was prescribed some antibiotics on Thursday afternoon but what a palaver it was trying to get them. I ended up having to go to the pharmacy three times within three hours trying to hunt down the prescription and the tablets and was close to tears by the time I actually received them. Anyway, they seem to have helped as I am feeling much better than I was, although they are ones I haven’t had before and I was instructed not to let my skin come into contact with sunlight whilst on them which was a shame as it’s been a lovely sunny weekend.OH has been a great help and cleared and tidied my garage for me this weekend in readiness for moving. We have a car load to take to the tip for which I have booked a slot at the tip for next weekend. I also have 8 or 9 bags for charity out there too, so hopefully charity shops will take that when they reopen.OH has also dug up and potted some of the fruit plants I want to take to the new house and we bought pots and compost to do the same for two more lovely plants that my parents bought for me when I moved here.
DS is back with me now and has eaten his body weight in chocolate eggs today. We have had fun and laughs and are looking forward to a week off together now.Yet again I am having trouble with the ex and his gf and gf’s family not adhering to coronavirus gathering rules and social distancing when DS is with them. They seem to think the rules don’t apply to them and despite claiming to be high risk and terrified of this virus, have had various large family and friend gatherings and continue to do so, putting DS, myself and the people I love at risk by lying about their actions too. Selfish is not the word. 😡I’m still waiting on the house survey, am hoping to get this back on Tuesday or soon afterwards. Fingers crossed everything is ok.
I hope everyone has had a happy, restful and peaceful Easter. XxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

Today we met up with one of DS’s friends for a socially distanced walk outside in what we thought was the sunshine, but turned out to be freezing cold! DS loved seeing his buddy and it was nice to catch up with ‘buddy’s’ Mum too. Unfortunately DS’s coat got caught on a wooden railing whilst he was running around and it ripped a huge (unfixable) hole in his coat. We stopped off in a large supermarket on the way home to try and pick a new one up but they have no coats now as it’s all their summer stock in store. I wasn’t too bothered as I knew we had a lighter ‘back up’ coat in the house, but got home to find said back up coat no longer fits.
It turns out it’s also tricky finding warm coats online in DS’s size at the moment too, but I’ve managed to order two - one lightweight jacket and a warmer winter coat in a larger size, as well as a sports top for school as he has outgrown that too. He also needs jeans as the first pair he tried on today were too small, but I will wait a few weeks to buy those now after spending just over £80 today already!

I’m just about ready to give up trying now tbh.The initial report on the house I’m buying has found at least £10k+ worth of work that needs doing on top of what I already knew about. I’m pretty devastated. I should get the full report back within the next few days.
I’ve made contact with someone else about a house they are thinking of selling. I’d very much like the house and can afford it, but I have doubts as to how serious they are about selling, so am trying not to get my hopes up too much.I am hoping my buyers are still keen to wait for my house. My Dad is undergoing surgery this morning to establish the size and type of tumour that has returned in his only remaining kidney. They have left him four months since discovering it and it was growing rapidly after two months, so it’s really worrying.
Not sure how much longer I can keep picking myself up after all these knocks to be honest.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86
