The £50 SO has gone to the premium bonds so I’ve updated the signature. The savings are now at £6k
I’d like to aim to build it up to £7500 next.
I’ve just posted a very small package to our family overseas - DS wrote a letter and atta he’d two little Lego figure to it for his cousin. I nearly died when the post office lady said it was £7.15 to post. 😮 I was in so much shock, I struggled to fill in my name on the customs form for a moment... that’s the last package we’re sending, sorry cousins.
Whilst in the area I walked to the local fruit and veg shop and picked up some lovely big oranges and bananas and found two packs of 12 sausages in sainsbos reduced to 99p each which I’ll split and put in the freezer. I’m going to place an order with a local fruit and veg stall for delivery this week, I’ve not been over enamoured with the quality of fresh produce from the supermarket lately so am going to try this instead. Always good to buy local too.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

My house is now back on the market as of yesterday and I have 4 viewings booked in today. I cancelled one as they were obviously not proceedable and I think we’re just out for a trip out of the house to be nosey. I think at least two of these may be proceedable and serious buyers, but it’s hard to tell if they’re not truthful about their situation on the booking forms.
Fingers crossed we have good news today anyway as I have seen a beautiful house for sale which I’d really like to view.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

That’s positive that you have multiple viewings...really hoping that one of them will emerge to be a proceedable buyer.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thank you for the finger crossing and good wishes, it obviously worked! I had two offers yesterday. One for £8K below asking price (which is still exceptionally more than I think the house is worth) and one for asking price. The asking price offer was a nightmare. She kept messing me round, then offered the asking price after I'd already accepted the lower offer, despite me telling her several times I would be accepting the other offer if she couldn't match it. I think selling to them would be a nightmare. She had several chances, so I have accepted the lower offer from a lovely young couple who are really excited about the house. I have still made £22,000 more than I did when I accepted the offer last year, so I'm really pleased. Now the difficult part - finding a new home for us, although I do now have a healthier budget than I did last year. I have booked in to see two on Saturday - the earliest the agent could do - so I just hope they don't go before then.

That’s wonderful news MeandO. Is the beautiful house that you mentioned in a previous post, able to be viewed? Really hoping that all goes smoothly for you this time.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Massive congratulations to you! That is amazing, well done! I think you were right to sell to the young couple - that other woman sounds like a nightmare and you don’t need any more stress right now!1
