    Thanks everybody.
There have been lost of tears since yesterday, they're running down my face now and I just can't stop them. I wasn't too bad this morning, but the postman just delivered a parcel from my parents with some warm PJ's in for DS and a little handwritten note telling me how much they love us and it's knocked me for six. I've sobbed so much I feel physically sick.
The reality is that I'm facing losing both my parents sooner rather than later and I can't even go and see them and give them a cuddle. It's been 6 months now since we saw them, before we even knew my Dad had cancer. Then part of me feels like I can't face seeing them as driving away will be horrendous as it could be the last time I ever see them.
My Mum's terminal condition has got a lot worse in the past two months and she is undergoing more tests, but there is no reversing the damage it's doing to her lungs and the rest of her body. I just have this overwhelming ball of sadness and grief in my chest, it feels like a big bruise inside.
I'm going to go and wash my face and try and pull myself together and give them a call to thank them for the parcel. Need to hear their voices at the moment.

    Thanks everyone xx
It's been an emotional weekend but OH looked after me and now DS is back so I have the best distraction. My Dad is apparently not taking things too well and is extremely down and negative. I wish I could make things better for him.

I'm really tired, I was shattered yesterday but DS decided he wanted to sleep in my bed last night which he's never really done until the past week. I can't say no as I know he won't want to be so snuggly much longer and he's obviously feeling a bit insecure about things atm, but it was difficult to get to sleep with him taking up most of the bed and me trying not to disturb him. He decided to decamp back to his own bed at 1.45am this morning so we were then both awake for a while after that.

I've been trying to keep my mind busy and so have planned my budget for the next few months taking the reduction in tax credit into account. I will be ok, but can't afford to save as much as I was. The credit card will be paid off within a week or two and I'll be over the £6K savings mark. Next month I should be able to add around £400 to savings before the tax credits drop, so that will be a nice chunk to put away. I just have to watch the spending in the meantime.

My sister very kindly deposited £100 in my bank account at the weekend. I protested, but she said has had an unexpected pay rise and wanted to help a little and wouldn't take no for an answer. My sister is quite a bit older than me and has done well for herself through lots of hard work.
I have put £30 of that aside for the boiler service I've booked for this week and added a little more to it to pay the odd £75.12 off my mortgage to round it down to the next £100 mark. I know my sister would approve of that, we've spoken before about me overpaying my mortgage and she said she was proud of me for managing to do so.

I have contacted an estate agent about listing the house again next month too. We are both eager to move and prices have gone up here considerably with the same house selling for nearly £40K more than the offer accepted on mine last year, so I should hopefully get more for this place and be in a better position. Now I just need the perfect house for us to come up at the right time...

So today I’ve bitten the bullet and instructed an estate agent. I’m not using the same one as last time, I’ve gone for an online agent who has sold several properties in this estate already. It will be a saving of close to £2000 in fees too but I have had to pay the £1k fee in advance. This has gone on the credit card for now but will be paid off with the savings once I’ve transferred it.
The house won’t be advertised for a few weeks yet but it will give me some time to get it ready. I just hope and pray things go our way this time.
